Wonderful place, great service and the food was amazing! We had the Sweet Inferno flatbread with a house salad and Sicilian flatbread with wings. These were 1/2 plates and provided plenty of food for one person. We’ll be back!

OK look. I understand that since Tambra Mitchell is my sister, mine may not seem like the most objective opinion, but let me assure you. I’d say the following if Hillary Clinton owned Blackbird Monticello: Y’all. This food is GOOOOOOOOD. Unfortunately, I have to travel a lot for my job. But one of the perks is that I get to try out great restaurants all over the country. And I’m telling you, I don’t care if I were in Monticello, Atlanta, New York City or in friggin Europe. If I walked into a quaint little local restaurant with this atmosphere, this style and this food, I’d be blown away. Especially if the owner told me this is her first restaurant and it’s only been open for a few months. Tambra has always been incredibly intelligent and driven, but it’s still shocking to see anyone new at the restaurant business produce food and an atmosphere with this level of sophistication. The flavor combinations are flawless and original. Honestly when she told me that her menu would be based on flatbreads, I was skeptical. Flatbreads have never excited me that much. But what she’s done with this menu is brilliant. The flatbread is more of a medium, a delivery system for the amazing flavor combinations in the toppings. I wish I didn’t live an hour and a half away because I would love to hit the Blackbird every other day or so until I worked my way through the menu. SO if you live anywhere near Monticello, or are ever passing through, stop by and try it out. You’ll thank me. Tell Tambra her little brother sent you!

We have eaten here twice. The first time was great food, great service, time for food arrival was a little long and definitely pricey however we don’t mind paying for good quality food. The second and LAST time we went, service was bad, after 15 minutes of placing our order the waitress comes back and said she lost our order and had to take it again. We ordered the buffalo chicken dip for appetizer and it was hot sauce and cream cheese soup! After waiting 45 minutes , our food finally came and was burnt. The salad was a handful with 5 tiny croutons. The manager came out and with an attitude said she would comp our meal. We declined, it was 8:30 and we were hungry. I told her how bad everything was and she argued with me about the timeline not knowing the lost order. I told her we would not be back and she said good she didn’t want customers like us. Well lady, it’s customer like us that can afford your overpriced food but don’t worry, you will not see us back again. Looking forward to the next restaurant that fills that space because with her attitude, prices and quality of food she isn’t going to be there long!!!

My son and I went on a mom and son night out. Our food was AMAZING and we loved the laid back, cozy atmosphere! We ate at the bar, and loved how the staff all carried on great conversations with us- gotta love a small town, too! Definitely recommend.

We have been multiple times to the Blackbird. Everything we have had has been great, from the appetizers, specialty cocktails at the bar and the flat breads. We are looking forward to giving the chicken wings a try! Definitely worth a visit to something new besides Mexican and fast food! Looking forward to many years ahead!

Flatbreads have gotten better and better since they opened just 2 months ago. Will be a new regular spot for me. Everyone is so friendly. Food is too much to eat! I always take home leftovers! Love their half flat and salad combos!

We had Addison as our waitress and she is absolutely AMAZING, our drinks never got low, she was sweet and made sure we were taken care of the whole time we ate! Now to the food…OUTSTANDING! We tried a little bit of everything and every bite was so good, the atmosphere is also amazing. Mrs. Charlotte also helped us tonight also…she is a great waitress as well! I encourage everyone to try this place out!
