First impressions weren’t great since our high top table had ants crawling on it, but they did move us. Our appetizer, the Truffle Fries, was really good. I liked that it came with a variety of sauces to dip in. The Cowboy Carl burger wasn’t very good. Specifically, the fried onions barely had any onion in them and were really heavy and oily. The What the Dr. Ordered burger was a lot better. You can’t really taste the Dr Pepper, but the ribs were really tender. Honestly, I’ve been here multiple times over the years and it’s usually a solid experience overall, so I’d still recommend it.

We got 11 burgers and 3 orders of Fries. Maybe they don’t like big orders idk ♀️. 2 of the burgers had really nasty lettuce and 6 of the burgers did not have correct toppings. We ate it but putting old pieces of lettuce on ppls burger that’s not right. I’ll submit photos when I figure out how.

We had the truffle fries which were delicious! It was our first time so the kind waitress offered us a sampling of all the sauces to try. I had the Cowboy Carl and it was DELICIOUS! Highly recommend!

I got the ‘born in USA’ burger and they put sweet sauce or something all over it. I couldn’t finish my burger. I love a really well made steak burger but only with normal ingredients. I am weird though so if you’re one to like artisan foods that don’t fall into the normal way of doing things then you probably like this place. Like I said the burger was crazy sweet. Definitely not my cup of tea. Maybe I order the wrong thing. 2 stars because service was terrific so I can’t justify a 1 star.

Honestly the best burger I’ve ever had Hayden was an awesome server. The burger is one of the best I’ve ever had… it’s hard to put into words. You’ll have to try it yourself. If you’re reading this and you’re on the fence.. stop. Go in.. take one bite. It’ll make ya slap ya mamma it’s so good.

Several weeks ago we were driving through Springfield. I had previously searched out best places to eat. So glad we went to Black Sheep Burgers. Their burgers were fabulous as were the fries and shakes. We plan on stopping again in November on our way through Springfield.
