I hosted my gender reveal at Black Rose Cafe, and it was absolutely perfect! From start to finish, everything exceeded my expectations. The service was truly top-tier the staff was attentive, professional, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the event.

The atmosphere was beautiful and welcoming, creating the perfect setting for such a special day.

They really went above and beyond to make sure our celebration was smooth and stress-free. I couldn’t have chosen a better place for such an important moment. Highly recommend Black Rose Cafe for any special occasion!

I’m giving a 4 star because my plate was disappointing but my son said his was amazing. He ordered The Supreme burrito, while I ordered the Bom which is one of their traditional breakfast options with a combination of ham, bacon, potatoes, bell peppers, jalapeno, pico de garlic and pepper jack cheese. Mine was bland and was missing 3 of the ingredients. It was not spicy at all. My salad was drenched in balsamic which messed up the taste. I recommend you ask for dressings on the side.

On a positive my cafe latte was perfect, so was Alexander’s Earl grey tea.
The interior was clean, spacious, well decorated for Halloween
Service was excellent

Visiting Locust Grove for work and used Black Rose as my co-working space for the day. The breakfast protein bowl was fantastic! Ingredients were fresh, well seasoned, and no salty. Perfect for my low-sodium diet! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They also have gorgeous desserts and the matcha latte was great. Lastly, their great Latin music playlist was the icing on the cake for my visit.

If you’re in Locust Grove, this is a must visit for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

I hated to see the original concept not make it, but very glad the new owner was able to come in with new ideas. Coffee is great, breakfast/brunch menu is amazing, and it’s a great vibe overall. The team is always so friendly. My daughters feel so fancy whenever we stop in.

Just left and cannot stop raving about how DELICIOUS the food here was and super grateful for our server, Michelle, she was amazing with our kids and so patient. Her recommendations were to die for and I highly recommend the Chilaquiles and huevos rancheros. Easily the best we have ever had!

Will be back!

Very great and authentic Mexican food. The portion size for breakfast was bigger than expected and worth the price. I could tell that all the food was freshly prepared. Will definitely be coming back!

The food was really good and came out pretty fast.

Our waitress was great and worked the entire place by herself.

The caramel latte was really good. Even my wife who isn’t a coffee drinker enjoyed it.

The food might be priced a little high but honestly everything was really good and it’s nice to have someplace local to go. So it didn’t bother me.

It’s easier to park behind the building than in the square.

Parking is also free

Black Rose Cafe & Bar is small and cozy. You can sit and watch the train go by while waiting for your meal. We went for the breakfast which serves authentic Mexican cuisine. Great, the Gourmet Coffee Options with chocolate mocha and Chai latte different tasting. However, the citrus refresher was awesome. My favorite was the pancakes fluffy and tasty with real maple syrup. The potatoes were kind of salty. Bacon and sausage with egg my friend said was just right.

This was our first time going to The Black Rose Cafe. My oldest son had really wanted to try it for a few weeks now so we came on a Saturday after the lunch crowd had died down. There were only 2 other tables and 3 waitresses with a guy tending the bar. Our orders were taken quickly however they brought my youngest autistic son’s food 15 min after everyone else’s. Most restaurants that charge this price point should know to either bring small childrens food first or bring all the food at the same time. They weren’t busy enough to warrant that. I ordered vegetarian tacos and was charged the price of the meat ones. Drinks are can drinks only unless you order a bar drink. Which are 3.00 each for a can of sprite. The food itself however was very good although they did leave the cheese off of my tacos, she didn’t write down the orders so that was probably the reason. My oldest son loved what he ordered and I was happy for that, however with the service we had well just get it to go next time. Restaurants should really know to not bring the childs food out last, especially a 15 min time difference. If it hadn’t been for that I wouldn’t have wrote this review.

I had an excellent breakfast here of chicken & waffles! The chicken was perfect and pre-sliced in a lovely presentation. The waffle was nice and thick as it should be and not like the skinny waffles at many other places. I ordered my waffle extra toasty and it held up through the meal perfectly! I also enjoyed delicious caramel latte. I am a local but I had a mini-vacay feeling eating here this morning and that’s what I was hoping for! I am looking forward to many more little escapes at Black Rose Cafe & Bar!
UPDATE : Went on a date night with the hubby and had another great experience! He got street tacos and I got the cheeseburger. So thankful the owner’s chose Locust Grove to open their restaurant!
