Our story began in 2008 inside a 160sq ft drive – thru in Beaverton, Oregon. Founded by family, rooted in hospitality, and driven by a desire to bring light to the grey PNW mornings, we set out to build something simple but meaningful – a place where coffee could fuel connection.

I had a really unpleasant experience with the coffee shop baristas. From the moment I approached the counter, they were rude, judgmental, and kept looking me up and down in a way that felt very uncomfortable and unwelcoming. When I tried to use my birthday drink reward, I was told I couldn’t use it, and the interaction felt dismissive and unfriendly. On top of that, I was made to feel like I was expected to leave a tip despite the poor service. Overall, the whole experience felt hostile and unprofessional. I left feeling upset and won’t be returning.

Not good if you go indoors. The coffee was good. The service was good. The decor was pleasant. But the flies! Ugh. Way too many flies. That MUST be taken care of. We couldn’t even sit in the comfy seats in the back because there were flies everywhere. And there was trash all over the ground outside, as well as broken glass in the parking spaces. A little bit of care is needed for customers to feel comfortable going here to dine in. Maybe I would recommend the drive-through but still, watch for the glass.

The crew was SUPER fast and friendly when I came in to pick up my online order. I haven’t visited in a long time (embarrassingly long, sorry) but we’re trying to keep our dollars local. (And so long as you treat your people well) We’ll be back!

I have gone to this location multiple times. My order has always correct, which is nice. But, almost every time I have to wait in the drive through for 10+ minutes with maybe one or two cars in front of me (and I see they only get a drink or two). I thought these type of coffee shops are supposed to be fast? Or has that expectation changed?

We recently went to Vancouver on a business meeting and stopped by our favorite Coffee store Black Rock. First time at this location as we live in Dallas, or but it will be the last time we go there. We got there around 9:24am and left the store 25 minutes later and didn’t get coffee as the employees seemed like they were more worried about the drive thru orders vs taking our order. The little Asian guy with the super saiyan hair walked by us about 3/4 times and never helped us out. This location and its employees suck and should take some customer service skills.
