Before visiting the area, I made a priority seating reservation several weeks ago. When we arrived the place was packed. Since we had the priority seating, our wait was about 25 minutes which was not bad considering the standard wait was 1 hour. Our waiter Derrick was attentive, very polite and friendly. We ordered the ahi tuna steaks, a fillet and a chicken stir fry. Opting to cook our on meal (except for the chicken dish), everything arrived on a lava stone sizzling away. Hard fun cooking the tuna which was tasty with the sauces and garlic butter. The fillet was 6oz and tender with minimal grizzle. The entrees included 2 sides while the chicken had 1. Fun time making our meal. For dessert we tried the pretzels bites with a dipping sauces – raspberry, chocolate and caramel. A delicious meal in a fun and lively atmosphere. Would recommend visiting this restaurant.

First time experience, it was great. Very unique and the service was awsome. A must try if you need a burger upgrade. They even had impossible burger for those of you who don’t eat meet. Next time we will try the steak on the lava rock. It looks like a fun, play with your food option.

Tried Black Rock Bar & Grill for the first time, as a family of five, and we all enjoyed our food: steaks, sausage, clam chowder, lobster bisque, and ribs. Then we shared a the Volcano dessert! Definitely worth trying out the unique way to finish the cook of your steaks/etc on the black rock!

Seriously? I thought I’d seen everything… I was wrong. This place puts a whole new spin on dining. Starting with the Peroni Draft, then the Seafood Chowder, then the Blue-cheese Chop Salad, and the Coconut Shrimp kicker; then came the 9 oz Sirloin on a Hot Black Rock…. It was all delicious, and very novel.

They have the best spinach artichoke dip! Everything else was cold and service was really slow today. The manager fixed the issue with our cold entrees and was very nice! We will be back shein since this is the 1st time we had this kind of experience.

Great experience. Loved the food. Wide variety of menu items. Waitress made sure we knew our options and demonstrated how to prepare our own food. Highly recommend the experience. The smoking hot rock kept me busy but was an enjoyable venture.

We called ahead due to having a party of 8. We arrived 15 minutes early. We waited for about 30 minutes, no big deal. They tried to seat us at two different tables. They were next to each other, but we had family from out of town and wanted to be able to talk as a family. They were very accommodating and pushed the tables together for us. The restaurant was very loud as it was 730 pm, but we didn’t mind. This made it hard to hear the waitress when she was going over the experience. She was very nice, though. They had an awesome Valentines Day special that most of our family took advantage of. We got the pretzel fondue, and it was amazing. Our food arrived and our server showed everyone a lot of personal attention however we had few people who chose not cook their own steaks they were not given their food first so when my husband got his plate the steak and ribs were cold and he said his baked potato was hard. The two people who didn’t want to use the rocks ended up having to do so anyway. My husband ordered his steak medium well, and what he got was rare. The steak was so cold that the butter they put on top of the steak didn’t melt. For those of us who ordered steak and ribs, all of our ribs were cold. Everyone’s side dishes were cold. Speaking of cold, it was freezing in the restaurant. Several of us had to put coats on through the dinner. The experience was cool, and I would bring someone here for a one on one dinner, but maybe not the best for a family dinner. I feel that the cost of 125 for three people was excessive for the quality of the food we received.

Was entertaining an out of town family member and we ate there Friday night around 8 pm. Had the MOST WONDERFUL server, JOSH, come to find out he was NEW and we were his first solo flight. As far as I’m concerned he was FANTASTIC! Never had a clue that he was a new employee. His attention to detail, his manners & his attentiveness were so impressive. I’ve been in customer service in many facets at many businesses, I was truly impressed and so was our visitors. They enjoyed the whole experience. Thank you Josh for making our evening dinner wonderful!
