Spent my birthday here a few years ago, had such warm memories. The night we went in was dark and snowy, the pub looked like a winter wonderland escape. The service, food, and drinks were phenomenal. Very sad to see you are closed – best wishes to you and yours in the future!

Exceptional service, and everyone was so friendly! We were glad to have a reservation, as it was very busy on a Saturday night during ski season.
I had the Italian fries, and I wouldn’t get them again due to there being WAY too much garlic for my personal preference. (I would’ve prefered a garlic flavor but not a “crunch” of so much minced garlic in every bite.) The table also tried the bacon chicken ranch pizza, and it was delicious. One of the Saturday specials was fried chicken, and it was good, but we’d like to try the burgers or in-house-made chicken tenders next time.

Jack and Gene were the best dinner hosts one could ever ask for! Jack interacted with the children, was very pleasant and polite, and made the delicious meal even better by his interactions. Julia was our server and she was very pleasant and efficient
Everything we ordered was delicious, the sweet potato fries were tasty, and the atmosphere was very relaxed. We got the homemade brownies for dessert, and they were the best, I think the whipped cream was even homemade.
Thanks for a great dinner! We will go here next time we are in the area.

Food was good. Staff was friendly. Would have given it 5 stars except for the fact is that our table of 10 was right in front of the stage where a band was playing so we had a hard time talking to parts of our party. The band was great, they were taking request from us and playing everything we asked.

Such a cute cozy spot, perfect after a day of skiing. We both had the Friday fish fry, I had the grilled whitefish (we were told it comes from lake Superior weekly and it was delicious), my husband had the fried cod. Both were great. He also had the pine ones which are these delightful fried mash potato balls, so good! Prices were really reasonable and the portions were big. The older couple who I assume were the owners were both very kind and made us feel welcome.

Great local restaurant. Came in late Saturday night. It wasn’t that busy. The owner greeted us at the door. Wife and I both had the prime rib dinner. Daughter had the fried chicken sandwich. Both were perfect. Grabbed some homemade cinnamon buns to go for breakfast. That was amazing. The perfect amount of sweetness. The wait staff was very helpful and our drinks were always full. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking to support local.

We went because it was close to our cabin we rented. After being brought to our table by our hostess, we were told it would be at least an hour to an hour and a half to get food, and if we wanted something quicker, we should leave. We said, “That’s fine. we wanted some drinks and pizza to go.” Then, when our waitress came to take our order, she let us know she couldn’t take a booze order because she was too young and they didn’t have time to get it anyway. Thank goodness a very nice gentleman came up and asked what we wanted and got it. All this time, all we wanted was pizza to go and a quick drink. They forgot us after we ordered and we sat waiting for our pizza which came out cold. Pizza wasn’t very good. I don’t usually give bad reviews. Figure everyone has bad days. But the lady sitting us was very rude.

Stopped in here after driving down the Black River Scenic Byway. It was Friday so we got the beer battered whitefish and sweet potato fries. One kid had buffalo wings and loved them! She wants to come back on her bday! Owners were fantastic and stopped by to chat a couple times and held the door on our way out. Service was great! Wish we didn’t live so far away. Prices were good too. We bought some homemade cinnamon roll bread for tomorrow morning, can’t wait to try it!

This place is incredible. It was recommended to my husband by a local gentleman so we thought we’d give it a try yesterday (06.08.2022). There were no regrets, except maybe that our appetites weren’t bigger! The kids got a 9” pizza to share and enjoyed it. My husband and I got the all you can eat pasta. It came with a salad that had the best homemade ranch and homemade pickles either of us had ever had!! It also came with this buttery, flakey, delicious popover rolls. The service was also a 5+ star experience. The server we had was the absolute politest and the gentleman that helps run the operation was the sweetest and kindest person. They didn’t even mind when the kids started to get a bit restless! We will be heading back for supper again tonight!

Really nice place! Very friendly host/owner and waitresses. It gets a bit warm with no AC on the hot days, but they have fans all over. We have been there many times, an have nevery been disappointed. Their food is just great! Also, great family place for young kids.
