New American small plates & craft cocktails served in chic, intimate surrounds.

Our group was here on a Tuesday evening and the experience was terrific. The pistachio martini was very interesting – a bit sweeter than I would have preferred but enjoyable nonetheless. Staff was friendly and had a lot on their hands with the size of our party. Our menu was predetermined and the selections were on-point. We were served family style and had a number of different appetizer and entree items placed on the table. We has some great desert choices too. We dine as a group like this twice a year and this was one of our better experiences.

Love this place. Great atmosphere – great service sand the food was amazing. Started with old fashion and pistachio espresso martini – both were best in class. Next had avocado toast and biscuits and gravy – yep – were perfect. The sister restaurant Farmhouse is one of our favorites, had just never tried Black Rabbit before – but will be back!

The experience was disappointing-service was not deserving of the imposed 22% tip. The server was not friendly; he did not introduce himself or the restaurant to us. We were a group of 8 adults from ATL. I shared my dinner with a friend and asked for a plate (he knew I was sharing the meal); he abruptly told me to use my appetizer plate instead. The appetizer plate that he should have picked up before dinner came to the table. We were charged twice for the tacos appetizer. We told him we were celebrating a birthday – for real – the birthday person selected the restaurant; it would have been nice to have offered something. The server was more concerned about the bill than anything else.
Let’s talk food. Everyone enjoyed their dinner except for one person (Gnocchi dish). My trout and the sourdough bread were delicious. The salad was good as well.
It is a shame the service did not match the food; it also impacted the overall atmosphere in a negative way. There are other dinner options with friendly servers. Skip this one.

We came here on new years eve (with a reservation)… It did not disappoint!!!! Parking was outrageous, but it is downtown ♀️ We had rabbit rolls (HEAVENLY… the softest bread I’ve ever eaten), and the pork chop (I ate brussel sprouts, which is not something I thought I would ever say), and the Nutella mousse for dessert. Everything was delicious, staff was amazing. We are traveling through but if we find ourselves in Nashville again, would 100000% eat here!

The better half was thoroughly impressed with her salmon. My bone-in pork chop was fabulous. We would definitely order again!
Really love the gluten-free options and clearly marked on the menu.

A friend and I decided to treat ourselves before going to a concert at Bridgestone.. We were looking at a different restaurant downtown but they didn’t have reservations available. Neither of us had been to Black Rabbit before, but we were glad by the time dinner was over that the other restaurant didn’t have reservations available…
We had the pork tacos , crab cake, and sourdough as an appetizer. All three were delicious and I honestly don’t know which one I would rank as the best. For dinner we split the rainbow trout. The trout was perfectly cooked– an excellent crust without being dried out. And then we had the blueberry cobbler, which had only been on the menu for about a week according to the server,… The cobbler was absolutely incredible. Incredibly punchy taste, though it did leave both of our mouths completely purple which was a bit hilarious.
Definitely worth a return trip.

The happy hour is great. When we were there last night it was 4-6pm, $6 old fashioneds, margaritas and mules. Wine too I think. 10/10 for the crab cakes, the rabbit spam sliders and the pesto carrot gnocchi. The service was really fabulous also. We enjoyed chatting with our waitress and she was knowledgeable about the menu and about the area. Great spot to stop for dinner before a show at the Ryman.

We called Black Rabbit a week in advance to make reservations for a party of 15 and were assured the restaurant could accommodate us. When we arrived, our group was split across separate tables. From the start, the waiter seemed frustrated with our requests and was dismissive when we asked for assistance. We also asked for separate checks before ordering, but at the end were handed one large bill and told to “do the hard work” ourselves with a phone calculator. With a 22% service fee already included, the lack of professionalism and unwillingness to help was disappointing. The food itself was good, but the service was unprofessional and lazy. With so many great restaurants in the area, we won’t be returning.
