Sunday night dine in. Long wait for food due to very busy with calls for takeaways. But worth it for delicious curries & breads. Lamb very tender, plenty of meat in both curries. Tasty bhajis

First time dining at Black Pepper..and definitely not our last visit! Amazing service, coupled with delicious meals and even a meet and greet from the chef himself!
We were given a basket of pappad upon taking our seats. The pappad was lovely, fresh and crisp!
We ordered the veggie platter for two – absolutely delicious and freshly fried! This came with two types of sauces which were perfectly paired with our starter option.
Our mains were prepared and served within minutes! Freshly made naans (plain, butter and paneer filled naan) with aloo jeera (mild), paneer tikka masala (mild) and chicken madras (mild). All dishes and naans were absolutely delicious!! We opted for a mild version for our dishes and we were quite happy with the taste and heat.
Would definitely recommend giving Black Pepper a try! Situated in Mosgiel, with plenty of table seating options and parking on the roadside. Dining in and take aways are available.
10/10!

Have had a delivery from this place a few times now. Spot on every time. Our chana Masala, Kadhai chicken, samosas and naans were yummy as. Very friendly, prompt service with delicious offerings. Thanks team
Ordered a delivery after some below par meals delivered last time that we complained about through text message. Nothing happened.
We tried them again and got another batch of sugar loaded curries. It’s a shame that this place like a few others have completely bastardised recipes loaded with color cream.and sugar to please western.palates. This is no Indian food. Our highly priced $7 cheese Naan was black at the back with very little cheese

If you’re in town in Dunedin and you’re looking for a nice butter chicken or Indian cuisine I recommend this place black pepper in Moscow I only saw it the other day and I quite like the butter chicken so I keep coming back for the butter chicken and then bread it’s so yummy and it’s we’re so lucky that we have you know but chickens in Mosgiel we have two Indian restaurants right now and they’re both have yummy butter chicken but they have different taste where they’re both nice so I hope you too I recommend this place too

The meal was yum I had the chicken Briyani and plain kulcha. It was full of flavor. Good sized portions and reasonably priced of anything it was too cheap cost me $27. And service was awesome the young girl was very lovely.

We all really love the food at Black Pepper. The curries are flavourful, are made with nice sized chunks of meat and vegetables and they will happily make them as hot as you like. My favorite is the Bhuna Ghosht but we recently tried their vegetarian curries too and they are very good. Their naan is thin and crispy and a decent size although not as big as the other local curry shop. Always lovely service but I’ve given them 4 stars for atmosphere simply because the incense is hard on people with allergies.

I’m just home from eating at Black Pepper with friends. The food is one of the best Indian meals I’ve tasted. 2 had medium 2 mild & perfect, tasty & great service. We had the Tandoori mushrooms for starters & I’ve never tasted anything so delicious. I highly recommend this place. It was very quiet for a Friday night, come on Mosgiel come out & support your local restaurant.

Nice food, although very short on meat with copious amounts of curry. Delivery service was very poor, however this was probably due to an external contractor, so not the restaurants fault. The delivery person dumped and ran, and did not even bother to ring the doorbell or knock on the door. Our meal sat on the doorstep for 20 minutes while we sat inside wondering where our meal was.
