A culinary adventure! Such a unique and cool dining experience. Food is DELISH and creative, staff make it feel so welcoming and personal, and the ambiance is hip and chill. I needed my husband to “hold my hand but not talk” during dessert…it was a party in my mouth. I have been there twice and left giddy with ‘food joy’ both times. Will definitely go back again for another special night out!

We had an incredible time. Food was outstanding. Trying the food pairings with the unique drink paired with it is such a fun way to try different things, and each course was a surprise. I Highly recommend for a fun night and some really good food and drinks!

I went here for a date night and it turned out to be an amazing spot for a date! Food was perfect, drinks were great, and service was spot on! I really enjoyed the different flavors in the food (like the basil ice cream and curry in the stewed apples with the pork). I would love to go here again! And often because the menu changes regularly!

We had the mystery dinner there two weeks ago and it was wonderful. Service was stellar and each dish was a delicious surprise, especially the ribeye with polenta cake. I wish I had asked what the first cocktail was because I enjoyed it so much but missed when the server told us what it was.
It’s an intimate place with not many tables. Great atmosphere for date night or a night out with foodie friends. We will definitely be back.

We have been here twice so far. The food was incredible both times! We discovered flavors and combinations that we never knew or thought to try. Each course followed a theme and was diverse and delicious. Intimate & comfortable ambiance. Cocktails and pairings were just as creative as the food and complimented the meal.
Chef Bryan, Chef Steve, Derik and Cassidy are all amazing in their own way and as a team. We felt like family and can’t wait to return.

We have been here multiple times. Absolutely in love with it. The bartender is amazing we always get a few cocktails from the menu and then let her just make what she wants. We have never been disappointed. We also are obsessed with the food. We have done the tasting menu and plenty from the bar menu and again never disappointed. Perfect place for a quick drink and bite or a full on dinning experience.

Black Iron Bystro is a foodies dream. That is, if your a open-minded person. Reason being is, this place has two different menus. One menu (small) you have dips, charcuterie board, and scallops to name a few. The second menu is truly a mystery. It’s a four course prix fixe dinner ($100per), with a paired beverage (alcohol). This dinner menu is forever changing, and its whatever the chef wants for the evening. Every bit of this evening was a great experience. Good food along with high quality drinks. Makes this place a spot you have to try, and try again.
The decor is beautiful and relaxing. The bar area is just as elegant as the dining area. This is a very small restaurant and even though they welcome walk ins. I would recommend making reservations.

I review new restaurants all the time and this is one of a few that’s worth coming back to! BEST scratch made gnocchi I’ve ever had in my life!! If they have gnocchi on the menu when you visit, don’t pass it up! Been eating here for years. It’s a small space with limited seating, the atmosphere is nice with dim lighting and there’s always music playing which is nice. The only negative things are the tables are small and way too close together, you’ll feel like you’re having your meal with strangers if anyone sits at the table next to you because they can hear everything you’re saying, no privacy…. And they expect you to use a QR code to view the menu. Not everyone wants to bring a phone into a restaurant or have to go through the hassle of doing that just to look at a menu, very inconvenient. They have a limited à la carte menu for walk-ins, I love that the dishes are always creative, and the presentation is always great! I love that they’re always combining interesting ingredients and flavors together. Everything is scratch made. The fresh homemade agnolotti was stuffed with squash and cheese, it was decent, although a bit bland, with a nice texture. Pork tostada was decent. The frites are always delicious and usually come with some type of fantastic aioli. The roasted carrot plate was wonderful also. The Persian love cake was the absolute worst tasting cake I ever put into my mouth, it had a vinegary flavor which really threw me off, and a mealy texture similar to cornbread. I was expecting to like it because I really love cardamom but I didn’t even detect much of a cardamom flavor because it was overpowered by the vinegary taste. My friend liked it, which I was completely baffled by. The service is always great here. the staff are personable and friendly. They said that the water they served was filtered, which is nice, nobody wants to drink chemical tap water. The only other complaint is that there’s no salt or pepper on the tables which I always consider a clear display of arrogance by the chef. The agnolotti definitely would have been much better if there had been salt and pepper. If they have the basil ice cream, I highly recommend it, it’s super creamy and so great!

Simply put, we love this place. The food and drinks are consistently high quality. The atmosphere is quiet, minimal, and relaxed.
The chef is excellent. He curates interesting rotating menus with adventurous flavors, textures, and platings. He accommodates dietary restrictions very thoughtfully, without lazy substitutions.
The space is well-kept, and the team is great, very diligent, and knowledgeable.
The bartenders are the best in Kenmore, hands down. If you have the pleasure of participating in the prix fixe, you’ll likely experience a well-thought out pairing.
Prix fixe isn’t the only option. You can pop in for a quick drink and snack at the bar if there is room.

The only decision you make is to make a reservation. The rest is the celebration of food, flavors, you in all of it, and unmatched passion of the chef and his team.
One of the favorite places to go for a date.
Consider an option of walking in, sitting at the bar, and ordering from à la carte menu. You will be impressed with the freshness and thoughtfulness of your plates.
