We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The staff went above and beyond to help us celebrate my wife’s birthday. They surprised her with a beautiful Black Forest cake and a candle, and the entire restaurant joined in singing. It was such a warm and memorable moment.
As vegetarians, we were very happy to find good options like the vegetarian schnitzel. Everything we ordered — schnitzel, fries, lentil soup was delicious and well prepared.

Susanne our waitress was amazing and so efficient. The food was 10/10. My father was a pig Hunter, so I have had wild pork and domestic all my life, this by far was the best pork I have ever had. I had the black forest schnitzel, so juicy and tender. I can highly highly recommend this place.

I had a great experience at Black Forest Restaurant! Their German cuisine is really delicious. I tried the escargots and the pork hock—both were fantastic. The pork hock was perfectly crispy on the outside, and I absolutely loved the apple strudel for dessert. Definitely looking forward to coming back next time!

This is our 2nd time here and the food is very consistent. The Schnitzel and Schnitzel burger were both enjoyed by our party. I went off the board and had the Hungarian Goulash Entreè and the Goulash Soup to start. AMAZING!

Went to the Black Forest for dinner. Very busy but got a table very quickly. Our waitress was great as well as the rest of the staff who took care of us. We went with the waitress’s recommendations and they were spot on. The ham hocks were out of this world and the schnitzel dinner was amazing.
If you come to Harrison Hot Springs this is must go to place. We had no room for dessert but they to looked amazing.

The food here is absolutely delicious and the portions are really generous. Authentic German flavors, and you definitely won’t leave hungry! The location is perfect, right by the lake, which makes the dining experience even better. The servers were all very polite and welcoming. Highly recommend if you’re looking for hearty, tasty German food with a great atmosphere.

Worst food you can ever try, Too much expensive for no reason, Foods tastes were cooked long time ago, Not worth it for one time try, We were group of 12 people went there for chrsitmas night and our experience was awful. Cucamber salad taste bitter as hell, German noodle tastes Old, foods portions are very small and in total it was our terrible experience there. Not recommanding to anyone.

just to add more, the lady server was great and attentive. even offer us to try the beer before we order. The lost stars are all because of the food.
The combination plate, portions was good, but the fried pork was a bit too dry, same goes to the beef. the spaetzle is quite bland.
the Escargots, for $19, I am sure you can give more than 3 little bread. and was told to split those 3 pieces in half and we should be good …….

If I could give this place 13 stars, I would! Absolutely delicious. Service was incredible during the busiest Canada Day weekend! Accidentally dropped in and sat on the patio, which gave us the front row to the parade! The staff stopped to watch the parade and didn’t miss a beat on the experience. Highly recommend for all your German cravings! Food was very flavorful and not bland. Appreciated the moisture of the Schnitzel! Great experience!
