Wonderful experience every time I come in from a Monday night to Saturday evening. When you walk in the downstairs bar has grade A service. The food is amazing all good vibes upstairs if you go and your lucky enough to run into Kya the bartender ask her to make her special drink second to none best margaritas in the dmv. Also per her suggestion Red snapper is definitely delightful.

We ordered oxtail tacos – superb!
We ordered snapper – very small portion was served but it was good.
We ordered blackened salmon – I didn’t particularly care for the choice of seasons and it didn’t look blackened.
The jollof did not have any flavor, the spinach didn’t have any love in it.
The bartender was nice. And I would have loved for the bathrooms to be tidied up. We arrived at 6pm and they open at 4pm. The bathroom looked like it had a million people use it for the day. It was trashed.

I visited this restaurant yesterday with a friend, and unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming. The drinks were noticeably watered down, and the bartender mentioned he was training, despite having years of serving experience. Unfortunately, the cocktails reflected that they were poorly made and disappointing.
The wait time for the food was also excessive, especially considering there were only about two parties in the restaurant. We ordered the snapper and oxtail, and while the presentation was fine, the flavors fell short. The dishes lacked proper seasoning and depth, and I’ve definitely had much better elsewhere.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place. You’re honestly better off visiting your local Caribbean restaurant for more authentic and flavorful options. And as a Nigerian, trust me when I say the food truly lacked seasoning.

The food looked appetizing but was highly unseasoned, no flavor at all. An automatic 36 gratuity was added to the bill even though tips are not just given. We waited almost 2 hours just to get appetizers by time. It was there. We had two bites and decided to take the food home since it was getting late they overcharged us for food. We told them while they was taking our order that we did not want. And when we were ready to go, we see that they pack the food up from the back And said it’s a part of the meal deal so we have to charge you for it. They were chocolate mousse cakes. Olive Garden taste better than their food never will go there ever again The only good thing about it was the scenery. I hate to do this…I really do, but this experience was not good at all. My boyfriend and I came on Valentine’s Day. 3 people came to the table and asked if we had been served. We were told initially that we had to order off the Valentines menu only (which was not indicated on their website or socials), then we were told that we could order whatever. After putting our order in, we waited about 30 minutes for the waitress to come and tell us we indeed had to order off the special menu, which was incredibly overpriced. They also did not offer any nonalcoholic beverages besides water. The service was slow even though everyone was kind. I don’t think we got our salads until after an hour or so of being seated. And our entrees didn’t come out until almost 2 hours, even though they didn’t initially seem busy. They placed us right in front of the dj stand which was very loud. The table they sat us at was cheap and wobbly. There were people eating with plastic utensils and the water came from plastic bottles. They ran out of the crab cake egg rolls (I’m not sure how you run out of food with a set menu and reservations only…you know how many people you’re expecting). All in all the food was just ok. The highlight was my pasta dish. The rice was unflavored and the lobster mac and cheese was the saddest Mac I’ve ever had (with zero lobster by the way). My boyfriend’s lamb chops where dry and chewy. And the dessert looked store bought. The strawberry cheesecake didn’t even come with any strawberries or strawberry syrup. And on top of that, there’s a 20% gratuity fee, how dare them for poor service. I would not recommend. Music was good though.

The restaurant its self was super cute. Our food came 2 hours later after our horrible lemon drops. Ther server was horrible she never really came back to the table offen. My mango got pasta which was good and I got lamb hops and lobster Mac and cheese, baby that Mac was burnt with no lobster. We got our check and left horrible service and accommodations 10/10 do not recommend!

This spot was yum the red snapper and beef patty were my favorite.
The drinks r on the soft and sweet side (not strong). Crab cake egg rolls were more wet and mushie than expected and suya was ok(they did not have the seasoning that goes with suya ). Came during happy hour. Also we were the only ones in the spot at the time so happy hour must not be to popular but

I had an amazing experience! The suya was perfectly seasoned and grilled just right, full of flavor and spice. The summer drink the bartender recommended paired with it was refreshing and hit the spot. Great food, great vibes, and top-notch service. I’ll definitely be coming back!

We were visiting from out of town and decided to stop by this restaurant for the first time. The ambience was truly beautiful and set a great tone for the experience. Overall the food itself was fantastic genuinely well prepared, and the chef deserves recognition!!
Gratuity was included, which made sense because the level of service we received did not meet that expectation. The service from our waitress/bartender and other waitress felt disengaged and unwelcoming, sis was rolling her eyes like we owed her money……which noticeably impacted our experience.
While everyone can have an off day, consistent customer service is essential, especially when serving guest after guest with a stank face and attitude. No matter how good the food is, poor service can drive customers away. This restaurant could offer an excellent overall experience but these server need to go or fix their attitudes…….
