This is our second time eating here. Previously my hubby got the stinging honey chicken and I got the ghosted burger. We also got rings and fries, and split a white mocha shake. This time we split a malted vanilla shake and an order of corn poppers. Hubs had the cow tipper and I had a figgy burger.
I’m a huge burger snob. I make killer burgers at home, so more often than not I’m painfully disappointed when I order burgers at a restaurant. Y’all…these are easily the best burgers in the Pioneer Valley, southern VT and southern NH areas.
They cook your burgers the way you order them. No hockey pucks masquerading as medium rare. The burgers are well-seasoned, the buns are toasted host right, the ingredients are top-shelf and the portions are generous. The milkshakes are also perfect.
Top that off with charming wait staff and a cozy atmosphere that somehow feels intimate even when it’s crazy busy, and this place is a sure win.

Worth the detour we took to get here. The Farmer and the Dell was a meatloaf hash brown cheese and gravy was worthy of a last meal. The Ghost Maple Caramelized onion burger also perfectly balanced flavors. Great Cajun spiced fries. Delicious and perfectly prepared. Perfect portions. AND…great selection of sweet chocolate treats. We will be back.

Found the place by accident and decided to give it a try. A sign on the door mentioned different hours due to a staff shortage, so we were patient and relaxed and enjoyed ourselves. We were seated right away and the burgers were incredible and completely worth the short wait.
We tried the ‘Cow Tipper’ and it was loaded with Pastrami, the garlic aioli was tasty and a side of onion rings were delicious. Also tried the special item ‘Rhubarb Jam Burger’ and that was incredible, just beef, some lettuce, the jam and crumbled and melted blue cheese and the taste was delicious. Hopefully they made a LOT of rhubarb jam because we will be back and soon!

Best burger I’ve had in a long time. Service was top notch and super friendly. Posted up at the bar and was attended immediately in a kind cozy manner. Great ambiance and a pleasant local beer to wash it down. Highly recommend.

What an absolutely phenomenal spot! I can’t help but want to apologize for the photos I took, but it’s my biggest sign of approval when I can’t wait to take a photo when I’d rather eat. The drinks are wonderful, the burgers are juicy, and the chocolates are wonderful and enjoyed much by me and my family! If I lived in West Mass, I know that this would be my spot – so I say, if you do live nearby, make it your’s !

Really really good burgers. They’re not the cheapest and they’re not instant, but if that’s what you’re after, get some fast food. You get what you pay/wait for, and there’s variety to suit almost every craving.
Take out takes around 20 minutes in my experience, so it might be better to call ahead. Be sure to try the fried avocado or fried pickles, and the cocktails aren’t bad either. They’ve also got tons of stuff other than sides/apps that aren’t burgers, if you’re after something more traditionally dinner-y.

Tried this place on a whim as I drove through downtown. That was just a few days ago. My and my wife have gone back there most days since then. It is a half hour drive from our house but it has solidified itself as the best burgers and Mac & cheese we have ever had. The Cow Tipper is simply heavenly that I will continue to get regularly even if it means I have to drive so much!

Absolutely excellent food here. What we have is the Mac attack and ??? I can’t remember it at the moment, but at a minimum it had bacon so you can never go wrong with that. We also got the Cajun fries with their garlic dip which was wicked good. Definitely would swing by again if ever in the area!

In the event that you think that this was a perfect visit, know that I have actually deducted one star. On the other hand, because the burger that I had, the maple ghost burger, was so incredible as to receive six stars. The staff gets five stars. I am deducting one star because the first burger that I ordered was a little too rare. They took it back and gave me a new one. It was a sensual experience. This place isn’t cheap, but, you taste every penny. (I’ve included a photo of the burger after I cleaned my fingers…)
