We walked right into Black Cap Grill at 12:00 with no wait, which was a great start. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, perfect for a casual lunch. The food was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. Overall, a great spot in North Conway if you’re looking for quality food without the hassle of a long wait. Definitely worth stopping in.

Before I say anything about the food, I would like to compliment the staff. I didn’t get to catch her name, but the hostess was very welcoming and friendly. My waitress, Annie, was awesome. She was very invested, making sure I had everything I needed, and she had every answer to the countless number of questions I had. Great staff! I had the build-your-own steak burger and the Freeport, Maine local draft. The burger was cooked exactly how I asked, along with fresh-tasting fries. The beer was a great choice as well, thanks to Annie’s help. Great job, and thank you to the folks in the kitchen who prepared the meal as well!

The food was more than great. During our winter vacation, it has been hard getting a place that offers variety of food, not just fried food and this place has it all. We ordered a little bit of everything, such as the octopus, crab cake, chowder soup for appetizers and for entree we ordered waygu burger, beet and blue salad, and scallops. The taste was on point, the service was also great, super friendly atmosphere. The restaurant itself has a great , cozy vibe and modern decor. The dessert was also amazing. We had the banana pudding with ice cream, and apple strudel. It was perfect to end the night. Absolutely lovely restaurant, definitely family friendly as well.

The place looks good, and we had one of the most interesting and tasty salads. It had green hummus and artichokes. The burger with Camembert cheese was too greasy. The apple strudel was delicious. The bartender was very personable and attentive.

The staff and atmosphere was A++ the food was good but for the prices they are charging I expected more. I got the Wagyu Steak and Frites. Definitely not Wagyu steak but it was good but not great or fantastic especially for $39. The appetizer chicken wings where not special and a little over cooked. Again great atmosphere and staff but the food is mid.

Food was fresh and delicious, great for lunch or dessert. Pricing was a bit higher than I anticipated dishing out for lunch but depending on the meal it was fairly priced considering the braised beef sliders were on point! Only qualm we had was that the wait staff seemed stressed and was waiting a lot of tables for one person, our waiter initially came off as peeved with the existence of all the guests who were waiting to be sat but warmed up to us after the whole restaurant had made their way to their seats. Their burgers look bomb but double check the descriptions and pricing as the hamburgers are build your own and start at $14 just for a patty if you are not careful that $14 patty will cost you an arm and a leg when your done ordering it.
