Much needed eats on a long travel day. Ordered the Bigfoot Chicken Fried Steak. Pretty good meal.

Great food, great atmosphere, and our server was very attentive. Overall my family loved it. We had a large party of 8 and they were very accommodating. We tried a variety of food from waffles, hamburgers, kids meals, and steaks and everyone raved about what they got. The kids really enjoyed the bear theme as well.

My husband and son and I came here on vacation. We were pretty hungry wiped out after a week of hiking. We wanted something that would fill us up but not be too much trouble. The atmosphere here is perfect for families. It was low-key and friendly, and not too noisy. The food was amazing. The portions are large enough that we shared a tri tip meal even though we were both pretty hungry. We also had berry cobbler, which I highly recommend. We got out the door for a little over 40 bucks with tax and tip. You can’t get more reasonable than that. Would go out of my way to find that dessert again.

Service was prompt. Our waiter was very pleasant and attentive. The food was delivered fresh and hot with a very pleasant tone from the young man to enjoy our meal and to let him know if we needed anything. It was an outing for my birthday, I have to say that this was one of the most pleasant birthday outings that I have had. And I have had many. Just became a young 59 years.

My experience at the Black Bear Diner in Richfield was amazing. The food was fantastic. I ordered the blackened pesto salmon. The flavor was rich and marvelous. I ordered multiple kids meals or “cubs meals” as it’s called. My kids absolutely loved their meals. My server “Kasey” was direct and friendly. Her service was amazing. She checked on us and fixed any issues we had with our orders. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. If you’re looking for great food and fabulous service then walk in. Thanks Kasey!

If you’ve been to a Black Bear Diner before, then I’d say the food is a bar better than the average, and the service a bar lower. If you haven’t been to one, then all you need to know is bears, breakfast food, and big menu. The BIGFOOT Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs is where it’s at. The negative of our experience was that it felt like our server was trying to rush us out. She brought us our check after 10 minutes of eating, which marked the last time she came to our table (so no water refills). Could’ve just been a busy day, which happens.

After a long day of travels, this was a great place to settle for a nice dinner. The entire building is cute and the atmosphere was very friendly and everyone greeted us. Food was great! Got the bacon & cheddar cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. Our hostess was lovely and our server was awesome. She had good timing, was very attentive of our needs including refills & such as well as very accurate. She was also very kind and confident! Would recommend!

I LOVE this restaurant. It’s great American food, done really, really well. I grew up on a lot of these foods, but Black Bear Diner does them better than everywhere I’ve been. I had carrot cake here that was awesome, but it was expensive. I don’t think I would pay that again. My awesome meal was $12.09, but the slice of carrot was $9.69.

I can’t think the staff here enough. We were traveling from California to Indiana and stopped here with our 2 dogs. They were very sweet and allowed us to bring them inside and out waitress even gave them a bowl of water. The food was amazing and the people were fantastic. 10/10 would recommend
