Our menu offers comfort food classics, and our entire menu is offered all day long. Whether you are craving pancakes at 8 pm or pot roast at 8 am – we’ve got something for everyone. Enjoy your meal in our family-friendly, cabin-themed diner with our welcoming staff or order to enjoy in the comfort of your home.

Normally my experiences here are great, this time however, it was just awful. The staff was friendly and the dining area was clean like usual, but the food was awful! I got the red, white, and blue pancakes and they came with moldy strawberries on top! How are they not checking these things or even washing them?? The amount of mold on this was either so little that it would be gone if they just washed it, or they DID wash it and there was WAY MORE mold before it even got on my plate. This is absolutely disgusting and I plan to warn everyone close to me not to eat here unless they want mold on their plate.

If you’re looking for a hearty start to your day, I highly recommend visiting Black Bear Diner. Their breakfast plates are famously large and exceptionally well done. A standout for me is the California Bacon eggs Benedict, which features thick-cut sliced bacon, fresh avocado, spinach, and perfectly poached eggs on a split English muffin, all smothered in rich Hollandaise sauce.
The overall experience is elevated by the staff, who are incredibly efficient, helpful, and friendly, ensuring coffee cups stay full and guests feel welcome. The diner offers a very comfortable seating arrangement with its cozy, woodsy cabin-themed decor. Plus, there is plenty of convenient, free parking available, making it an easy and stress-free stop. It’s a top-notch spot for a classic American

Great place for dinner conversation. Not a lot of excess noise. Chicken pot pie got rave reviews. My Tri tip was a little chewy. Cornbread muffin was excellent and the mixed veggies and bacon onion green beans we delicious. Others in our party loved their breakfast for dinner.

Great customer service and tasty meals! We love to visit during breakfast/brunch hour, Amelia has been our go to server each time we do visit the Ogden location. She is so friendly, kind and attentive – she’s got our drink order locked in her memory. The food and the service is what keeps us coming back.

i went here for my birthday breakfast, and it was very good!
i am a massive pancake lover, and they have THE BEST pancakes i’ve tasted in town.
i got the mini volcano breakfast and asked for their blueberry compote on top, as im obsessed with blueberry pancakes.
it was delicious. they make their pancakes with sweet cream which makes them sweet and incredibly fluffy.
unfortunately i cannot remember our waitresses name, but she was so friendly and had the best smile you have ever seen. seriously.
thank you for providing me an awesome birthday breakfast!

Came here for the first time to celebrate my birthday and trying to find a good breakfast spot around the area. Waited about 10 minutes for a table which wasn’t bad. Service was bare minimum and wasn’t checked on once after we got our food. Asked for sauce when we got our food and was never brought it. Only got a refill when she brought the check out and didn’t get much human interaction from the server, felt very robotic. She took our order, brought food, and gave us the check didn’t come to check on us at all through the course of our meal or asked if there was anything else we needed. Food was ok, biscuit was very good I will say. Went to the front to pay and asked if any special birthday promotion was available and they said it was only available on the app. It was my first time going to this place and didn’t know anything about an app. I didn’t expect a whole lot but at least some human decency when I asked if I should install the app and do it and the worker said “probably not worth it”. I felt like I didn’t feel important, not because it was a special day but then he proceeded to not ask anyone if they can do anything like a manager to even give a small discount because I don’t expect to go through an app for a sit down restaurant. I found it rude they said to pretty much not try to go through the app as it can take a while after I said it was my first time trying this place and then proceed to say the full amount of the receipt. It’s not that I had to pay the full thing but instead they didn’t even want to try and do something.

So normally we love Black Bear! We get sat, we love the food, and it’s very good service!
My husband and I went in this morning. Very nice lady, told us it would be a five minute wait, awesome! And boom, we got sat in under a few minutes. My husband and I chat it up waiting for a server. 5 minutes…. 10 minutes…. 20
Minutes. We’re kinda confused by this point but chalked it up to being a busy breakfast service. They’re continuing to seat people in our section so we assume they’re busy, no problem! We really don’t mind.
Then someone got sat… got waited on even thought we were sat first. Nobody was even acknowledging us. We were so confused and really upset… 35 minutes goes by and we just honestly give up.
We would still love to return to Black Bear, we’re just very upset at the lack of communication. We had employees look at us, but none even said hey are you guys ok? Did you get served yet? Nothing…
Very disappointed 🙁

Waited for over an hour for our food to come, when it did come half the orders were not completed and cold, the place was a total mess, prior to us being seated from the waiting area we had noticed many tables were never cleared, and these tables sat messy with dishes for the time we were there which was over 2 hours from the time we entered the restaurant until we left the restaurant. The staff was rude and very unprofessional, management had no clue of what that position entails of.
More than several times the waitresses would gather behind the counter in front of the kitchen window and just stand there for long periods of time. We complained about the food that we ordered and got a small deduction not near enough, should’ve been free for the how bad the food tasted.
My wife had walked around and took this photos to show just how messy the establishment was. There is one photo of us and family seated in the corner at a table and we did request a booth.
