My mom and I recently visited black bare establishment for breakfast during a road trip to the California Central Coast Veterans Cemetery. While the aroma in your restaurant was enticing, we were unfortunately very disappointed with our meal.
We both ordered the Grizz breakfast. I requested over-easy eggs, but they arrived sunny-side up with runny whites, and the bacon was overcooked. The hash browns were also undercooked and lacked flavor. My mother’s experience was even worse; her eggs appeared watery, her bacon was burnt, and her pancakes were raw in the middle. Although she asked for the pancakes to be cooked longer, the new batch was still raw. Neither of us finished our food.
It seemed as though the food was cooked on high heat, resulting in everything being undercooked. We chose not to send our food back, as we were unsure of the condition in which it would be returned.
Given our experience, I would not recommend this place to others.
Sincerely,
Sad fatboy.
We stopped here on our way into Monterey. It wasn’t busy at all on a Sunday afternoon. Food was reasonably priced and the service was was great.
The whole place was really clean and so was the bathroom.
