Waited 15 minutes to be seated (reasonable)
Drinks and order taken in a timely manor.
An hour and fifteen minutes later and we (table of three) are still waiting for our food.
There is no hostess and only three or four servers trying to keep this train wreck on track! This is a good example of ill-prepared management!
We are about to walk out!
Update Erynn was great! Really did her best. To bad she doesn’t have the support staff necessary for a smooth operation.
Clearly the Kitchen doesn’t know how to make burnt potatoes as requested.

We love Bkack Bear because we can always count on consistency. Not this time. Chicken fried was tiny. Usually covers half the plate. Had to send the raw hashbrowms back, even though ordered crispy. And then, the were full of onions. Which I can’t eat. So i ate cold toast and a tiny chicken fried. We asked to sit in back room because we wanted to have a quiet conversation, and it was empty. The hostess proceeded to sit the next 3 tables right next to us even though the main room had tons of open tables. Then 2 of those tables got served way before us. Our waitress was newer, and she did a great job: that’s why service got 5 stars. Otherwise extremely disappointed.

Food was really good. I’d definitely stop again. Service was ok but they seemed a bit distracted and they weren’t extremely busy. I had the turkey club and my wife had the turkey dinner. For a truckstop area I think they did a pretty good job.

We love the Black Bear Diner. The food is always fantastic and you can get a proper meal for cheaper than some fast food meals. We got the “little less” dinners as it was late last night, and it’s still a lot of food. These dishes were $11.97 and $12.97. Our waitress, Trish, was as helpful and friendly. Great service. The place was quite busy even if it was later. Also, if you’ve never been to a BBD, their menu is huge, so be prepared to spend a few minutes deciding. Also, for breakfast lovers… it’s served all day.

Don’t order the “less dinner” on the menu. It’s just a microwave dinner from the local grocery store scraped onto a plate with a cold can of gravy dumped on it.
Geez black bear started out great every place I drive by and now it’s just a microwave kitchen.

We had 2 huge salads, a Cobb Salad and a taco salad. Better than our last nights fancy dinner at The Grand Canyon! Wish I took a picture when they brought them to the table!

Pot roast was dry and not very tender. Green beans were good.

This is a great place to go for a nice, home-cooked, sit-down meal like the ones Meemaw used to make. It has a pleasant, open atmosphere with slightly rustic decor, giving it a familiar, welcoming community lodge look and feel that only enhances the home-cooked meal effect. Kid-friendly, you may want to bring the whole family out and get to know each other a little more.

Great diner stop on our way to Route 66! Food was excellent, service exceptional (ask for Jason), and the atmosphere was neat too. Place was clean, hostess was polite and seated us promptly. Bathrooms were clean. Black Bear Diner was a very pleasant surprise. Wish this place was closer to home!

This Black Bear is a little out of the way in Kingman AZ. waiting for a table took to long ,several customers left rather than wait. Service at the table was also slow. Wait staff very good once things got moving. I most likely won’t eat there again, prices are fair but way to much food, the cob salad my lady friend ordered could feed 4 people. I like to eat what I am served and feel full when I leave not stuffed and ready for a nap.
