In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Their mission was simple: create a fun and friendly atmosphere where the local community could enjoy huge portions of home-style cooking at a reasonable price. Today, we continue their mission at every Black Bear Diner across the country, as we passionately provide guests an outstanding experience. Our menu offers comfort food classics, and our entire menu is offered all day long. Whether you are craving pancakes at 8 pm or pot roast at 8 am – we’ve got something for everyone. Highly recommend this place when in the Kingman area. The decor is low key and adorable with all the bear themed items, the server was friendly and the food was delicious! I had a bacon cheeseburger which was cooked to perfection. I also tried a little bit of the pancakes and it was like nothing I tasted before, out of this world! I’m looking forward to dining here again and trying something new on their extensive menu.

The Turkey Club sandwich and sweet potato fries were AWESOME! We also had the Burger, Fried chicken Cobb salad and apple pie. Our waitress was very attentive and sweet! I even ordered a side of bacon for my dog. Very accommodating.

My breakfast was not good at all. I ordered the chicken sausage scramble with egg-whites and it was pretty awful. The chicken sausage is what ruined the meal. Had it of been bacon or normal sausage, it would have been good. But the texture and flavor was beyond description. It was disgusting. Other than that, the burgers we ordered for dinner were absolutely amazing and the service is good. Were in kingman all the time and we will definitely be eating more burgers there! I just wont be ordering that breakfast ever again lol.

The waitress we had was amazing. I wish I would have gotten her name. My mother and I came in on Saturday for breakfast and our waitress was 1 in a million. She was attentive, always smiling and the food arrived quickly. 10/10 recommend this place. Best time to go was between 8:30-9am. Wasn’t busy.
