We love the atmosphere at Black Bear. We eat there pretty often and have found the food to be consistently good and always fresh. It is made to order not precooked. I especially love their bbq and would recommend that to anyone who enjoys smoked bbq. Average prices and above average service and quality.

Ordered a burger with bacon and cheese, fries on the side and an order of mozzarella sticks and it was $20 dollars… for one person. Would be acceptable if everything was made fresh but this food is clearly frozen and thrown on a grill, the fries taste like they have freezer burn but the mozzarella sticks were good so that’s one plus.

On December 5th, at 4 pm, my husband and I had dinner at this nice little restaurant. I had BBQ, fried okra, hush puppies, pintos, and Cherry Yum Yum. My husband had the country fried steak & gravy, mash potatoes & gravy, pintos, fresh made roll, and peanut butter pie. The food is delicious with generous portions, I couldn’t eat it all. We will definitely return.

I called and asked what kind of bread they served for the Patty Melts and the girl this morning told me rye well that was a lie. So I had my husband pick me 1 up and guess what it’s on white bread which sucked and the bread was soggy and not grilled well enough. A Patty Melt is supposed to be on rye bread with Swiss cheese not American. And yourCaesar salad is supposed to be with romaine lettuce not iceberg lettuce which I got once and it sucked too. Your girls who answer the phone need to know your menu and how things are served. I will never eat from this restaurant again.

This is absolutely one of the best places to eat. The staff go out of their way to take care of everybody. They try to learn everyone’s name and there hasn’t been a request yet I’ve heard them say no too. Hands-down, the best place to eat in the area.

I ordered a chuck wagon hotdog and fries took one bite of the hotdog and it tasted like it had been cooked 2-3 days ago the chili had a burnt taste to it. Ordered cheese on my Chuck wagon and the cheese looked rubbery only ate about half of the chuck wagon it tasted like it had been cooked in oil that hadn’t been changed in years, I am local to Canton and will not ever go back there to eat

Some of the best diner style food I have had in a long time. Made to order, hot and good portions. Plenty of dishes to choose from that were reasonably priced. Wait staff were very nice and accommodating with a simple hometown interior that was clean and bright. Took a chance to stop here and I’m glad I did. I felt right at home and I wouldn’t hesitate to stop in again.
