Someone in our group suggested Black Angus. We arrived, and we’re seated right away. Not bad for a Friday night. We had 8 people in our party, but they could not seat us all together. So we sat in two separate booths close by, which was not ideal, but fine.
I could tell right out of the gate our experience was not going to be the best when our waitress, Rebecca, seemed put off that we still were waiting on a couple of people to show up from our party – they were less than 10 minutes behind us.
We’ve come here many times before, and are aware of the app, and the discounts through the app…. so ordering went pretty smoothly for us. However, for the other people in our group Rebecca basically rolled her eyes through her voice.
A few people in our party ordered salads with their dressing on the side, all of our salads came drenched in dressing. So much so, we could not eat half of the salad on our plates. It looks like Black Angus raised their prices again, and made their portions smaller. Our food arrived, warm not hot and the portions were very small. The salmon was dry and oily, the garlic bread was underdone. The Diet Pepsi was great and the D burger was tasty.
For $45/person I expected decent tasting food and great service. I get better treatment from Red Robin (which is right next door).
The bathrooms are filthy, with broken locks and wide slats in the stalls. The menus were dirty and sticky, our table was not wiped down on the edges where the previous person spilled something.
It took over 1.5 hours for us to eat and get out of there… our server was so slow.
Overall, a terrible experience. I can’t even think about going back.

We visited Black Angus Steakhouse in Federal Way to celebrate the New Year with our grandson Matt and granddaughter Eliza. Even though I had not been here in over 10 years, we were seated right away and quickly greeted by our server, Randy. It immediately felt like coming back to a familiar favorite.
The restaurant has a comfortable, classic steakhouse feel. It is relaxed, welcoming, and perfect for family dinners. It was moderately busy, but everything ran smoothly. The space felt clean, cozy, and well kept. It still has that dependable neighborhood steakhouse vibe that makes you want to settle in and enjoy your time.
Once we ordered, we were brought a warm loaf of bread with butter. It was a simple but appreciated touch that held us over until our meals arrived.
Matt ordered the 8 oz filet mignon cooked medium, served with fries and mac and cheese. The filet was tender and perfectly cooked, and the mac and cheese was easily some of the best we have ever had. It was creamy, rich, and incredibly satisfying.
I had the 12 oz ribeye cooked medium well, paired with au gratin potatoes and onion rings. The ribeye was juicy and full of flavor, and the au gratin potatoes were rich and creamy with a light cracker style crunch on top that really set them apart.
Marianne ordered the 6 oz filet mignon cooked medium well with a loaded baked potato. It was hearty, flavorful, and done just right. Eliza enjoyed the potato skins and mac and cheese. Both were a hit.
Portions were generous, everything came out hot and fresh, and the quality was exactly what you hope for from a great steakhouse.
Randy did a fantastic job. He was friendly, attentive, and quick with drinks and check ins. The pacing of the meal was perfect and made the evening feel relaxed and enjoyable.
Black Angus in Federal Way delivered a great New Year’s dinner and reminded me why this place has stayed a local favorite for so long. We all had a wonderful meal and a great time together. We would absolutely return and highly recommend it for family dinners, celebrations, or a solid steakhouse night out.

The food was delicious The restaurant offers a pleasant dining experience with a welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff. The food was well-prepared, flavorful, and served fresh. Portions were satisfying, and the menu had a good variety to choose from. Service was prompt without feeling rushed. Overall, it’s a solid spot that I’d recommend for both casual meals and special outings.

We always enjoy Aubrey’s section in the sports bar. He remembers our favorite order and beverage! His smile is welcoming, and we feel special. The food is excellent. There is always food to take home for dinner the next day. It pays to join the rewards program!
The manager David comes to our table to say hi and make sure we are happy with everything.
I would recommend the Federal Way steakhouse to all.

It was a fine experience for what we paid for. It was a good deal for the to go Thanksgiving dinner for 4. However I had to wait 45 min longer than my assigned pick up time. Thankfully the bar was open. The dinner included turkey, gravy, bread, salad, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and pumpkin pie- plentiful, but skimpy on the broccoli and stuffing.

Arrived around 5:00. Parking was available upon arrival. We only had to wait 5 minutes or so to be seated. We were seated in a booth. Nice seating. Waitress was kind and attentive. Food came out pretty quickly and was HOT AND DELICIOUS. Also ordered drinks that were also great! No completion near by!

Came here to celebrate my brother’s birthday with a group totaling 7 people. Super fun server and delicious food. Unexpectedly massive prime rib! Seasoned to perfection, in my opinion! My goodness!

Thank you for a wonderful experience for everyone!

This is our go to steak place in South Sound – we’ve been going to Black Angus across CA and WA and the Fed Way branch is consistently great. The steak is always cooked to the right temp, juicy and tasty and all the other dishes and sides are delicious. On top of that the staff are super friendly and accommodating. There are regular discounts and deals which the staff is happy to apply and it makes for high value. Place is usually cheerfully busy and has all the happy family restaurant ambience one could wish for. Conveniently by the freeway – easy access easy parking.

My husband and I came in yesterday, and we realized we had reserved for the wrong location…I genuinely thought I had messed up not only Valentine’s Day, but my husband’s birthday was also yesterday. David, the general manager came to the rescue. He was able to squeeze us in and was impeccable with customer service. He genuinely saved the night. Our server, Nissi, was also impeccable. She was so kind and on her stuff. I swear nothing could frazzle her. She was precise, personable, and quick. We also wanted to shout out Jose. Not only was he bussing tables, and turning the over faster than the server could grab the book, but he helped run food and drinks at the same time. Hell of a work ethic this team had.
