I’ve visited the Palmdale area for work three times over as many months.. Tonight, I ventured out for the very first time in search of a local steak place and decided on Black Angus largely due to the Google review ratings..

Did it live up to the hype?? For the most part but I didn’t leave the restaurant “wowed,” like I had just experienced something special.. Let me explain..

I intended to sit/dine at the bar but the fellow who was back there seemed to be a bit overwhelmed with bar orders from the rest of the restaurant, so not wanting to add to his burden I opted for dining room service instead..

Gilbert greeted me promptly and provided complimentary bread and a glass of ice water as I surveyed the drink menu.. I ordered an El Dorado Margarita featuring Camarena Reposado Tequila, fresh citrus juices, and a float of Grand Marnier..

After perusing the dinner menu I opted to try the 6oz filet with mashed potatoes and a side salad.. This is my go to request at most steak places, so it’s what I generally order to measure my experience..

Gilbert delivered the salad rather quickly and with the Italian dressing on the side.. I typically order it this way but forgot, so seeing it on the side was a relief.. The salad was cold and crisp, the dressing packed with flavor, and well-portioned.. So far, so good..

The steak and potatoes, while flavorful, were presented rather modestly, without flair or garnish.. Both had great flavor, too, but there were no frills.. No seasoning, except maybe a very light touch of salt and pepper on the steak and a hint of butter in the poatoes..

The steak was more or less cooked as I ordered it, medium, and was a straightforward, grilled steak.. I’ve had worse out there but I’ve also had better.. At the end of the day, the filet was worth the price I paid..

The mashed potatoes were rather benign, too.. They had a great taste but there wasn’t anything that made them stand out.. Smoothly mashed to the extent that I couldn’t readily confirm them as made from real potatoes, though I’m leaning to them being of the real varity..

At the end of the day Black Angus delivered a solid performance on this meal.. Gilbert’s outstanding customer service and the atmosphere of the restaurant brought this up to a five versus a four review..

I might visit again on a future trip to Palmdale to sample other menu offerings, time will tell..

Came around 8:30 PM for our anniversary and were seated within minutes. The food was excellent — the sampler was a great choice, especially the fried zucchini with ranch and the buffalo chicken tenders, which were honestly standout items. Even dishes I don’t usually order, like the shrimp, were really enjoyable thanks to the sauce. My husband’s filet mignon was cooked perfectly, and both plates were flavorful and filling, with the mac and cheese being especially good. Service by waitress included timely drink refills, though we felt a bit rushed while ordering since it was our first visit and appetizers hadn’t arrived yet. Overall, the food alone made this a very enjoyable experience, and I’d definitely recommend going earlier in the evening to fully relax and enjoy everything.

We went to Black Angus Steakhouse to celebrate my longtime friends 88th birthday. The menu has many different options. I always ask for the server’s recommendations. Tanya mentioned that the ribeye or prime rib was their most popular steaks. So, my friend and I chose the boneless ribeye. My was cooked perfectly and my friends was cooked perfectly but was tough.
Our server Tanya recognize there was a problem. She immediately spoke to Carol Garcia the general manager. Carol spoke to my friend and suggested he should select another steak. The issue was corrected quickly. Great customer service and public relationship. I highly recommend that you visit Black Angus Steakhouse to enjoy a great meal. If I could I would give this restaurant a higher rating then a 5 stars. We will definitely return in the near future.

Si we bought a coupon for brunch on Groupon and it literally was a whole hassle to figure out what applied because it didn’t say it anywhere ‍♀️the waitress was super nice & helpful thankfully which I really appreciate. There was a huge leak on the ceiling which was not a vibe water was coming in there was buckets that was the only issue food was excellent bigger positions than I thought & $5 mimosas will be coming back hopefully they fix that leak.

Tonight we had such an awesome dining experience! The food was out of this world . The filet mignon was melt-in-your-mouth tender and packed with flavor. The French Dip? Absolutely delicious/juicy tender meat with bread that was soft and super fresh.
Our server, Paige, nailed it! She took care of everything with a smile, pleasant, kind, and totally on point.

I have been coming here for about more than 17 years there like a part of my family with good service and wonderful waitress that know through the years. Food is great with great prices for us. We normally get the Campfire Feast comes with a choice of appetizers always get the Sampler Wagon then dinner for 2 plus at the end a dessert sometimes we try new things that they came out with. We normally don’t eat our dinner food because we are already full lol, but we take it home. We also come for Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year’s for dinner here with my partner or family even for our birthdays . Great price, especially if you have the app for rewards I get points. It’s sort of loud, but food choices and prices are good. Happy Hour is a great deal. The prawns i got were a bit dry, but still tasty and the rice and baked potato were prepared well. We were with a party 5 and our server kept up well.

Our food – top sirloin with an add of crispy fried shrimp and roosted green beans was delicious. The steak – perfectly done. Cheesecake yummy. Although really wish they could bring back their mud pie! Lol Our service by Gilbert was outstanding. His timing was perfect – didn’t have to wait on anything. Gilbert was charming, professional, friendly. Carol, Manager, stopped by to check on us and make sure all was top notch – which it was. It’s nice to know management is interested in our dining experience and has a desire to ensure we were enjoying it.
