Black Agave absolutely blew me away. The food is vibrant, generous, and layered with flavor in every bite. I ordered the queso fundido topped with tender steak, roasted corn, poblano peppers, and fresh cilantro, and it was easily one of the best dishes I’ve had in a long time. The balance of smoky, savory, and creamy was perfect, and it came out looking like pure art on a plate.
The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the vibe of the place made it feel like both a special night out and a spot I’d want to keep coming back to with friends. You can tell they take pride not only in the food, but in creating an atmosphere where people feel welcome.

Worth the drive! We drove from out of town to check out this restaurant. The service was excellent. The menu was diverse and there were so many tempting options. I planned ahead- reading reviews and studying the menu. The food did not disappoint. The restaurant is clean and family friendly. Drives are average. Parking was limited, but not an issue. Two thumbs up!

We have been here several times now since moving to the area. We’ve tried quite a few of the other Mexican restaurants around and this has become our clear favorite. Food is always amazing. Love the staff.
Parking lot is quite small, but there’s street parking and a larger lot across the street you can park in when it’s full.
Pretty small place with just 3 tables but lined with booths around the outside.
Very vegetarian friendly. Decent pricing. We’ve had chimichangas, burritos, enchiladas, all delicious. My favorite is the enchiladas tricolor, that comes with 3 enchiladas.

I’ve eaten here before and it was great. There have been a couple of times and the experience has not been good. Seems to be a different cook on Mondays. Gross, gross, gross. Chili rellenos was not the egg batter they used to make with pablano chilies with cheese in it, and beef enchiladas were soggy, salty and no beef or sauce. This is the actual 3rd time I came across this experience. I am a frequent customer and have complimented and mentioned it to others but I won’t anymore. 3 strikes

It’s a small dining area, but that makes it feel more personal. The menu is standard fare for a Mexican restaurant aimed at white people, but it tastes a bit better than many of the other local places. The wait staff are nice and very personable. If you catch them on a busy time you will have a hard time parking.

This restaurant is well decorated. The service staff was warm and welcoming, and service was prompt. As for the food… the presentation is spectacular. It’s absolutely delicious! The chefs really put their heart and soul into to these dishes. My family and I ordered 3 different dishes across 3 different categories and we ended up sharing the dishes because the flavor transcends personal preferences. Also the quantity of food you get is substantial so come hungry!

I’ve been to many, but this one takes the cake. Best Mango Piña Colada anywhere. And the food was amazing in presentation, flavor and size. This restaurant is very clean, spotless, with colors and decor perfect for an authentic experience. The server was communicable, polite and very thorough. There’s no where else I’d rather eat from here on out.

Stopped in for dinner before work. Seated very quickly and staff was attentive throughout my meal. Ordered the carne asada burrito and it was very good and quite large for the price. Definitely one of the better Mexican restaurants in the area.

I am from Southern California and was in Oregon looking for good food on a Sunday evening. This restaurant filled the bill. I would give it five stars except the chips and salsa tasted bland.
