The food here was rather disappointing, especially for the price. I ordered the cheeseburger, and it came with sad, limp lettuce, flavorless pickles, a rather tough meat patty, and overly greased bun. Even the fries were limp and rather tasteless.

Our server was high energy, but everyone seemed rushed and parts of our order were forgotten.

Went here today with my girlfriend. Server was very nice but they need to do some massive cleaning in their kitchen.

Server brought our drink our with an ant on the straw. Definitely not coming back to this location.

Was cool to go to once for the Spookie Pizookie but don’t think I will be returning

Edit: It will not let me reply to the management. But the food did not have much flavor and my spookie pizookie and pizza took a long time to come out. Also it was a struggle to get water refilled and cutlery.

I placed a family meal order online for pickup. When I got there I had to wait a few minutes for my food which I didn’t mind. But when I got my order in one bag on top of my pizza box I felt something was a little wrong. First, the pizza box on my hands was not that hot. Secondly, I got pasta but also a Pookie with ice cream that was placed in the same bag. I hurried home, which is not that far and of course found out my ice cream was melted so I there it in the freezer. When I opened the pizza box I saw a thrown, and I mean thrown, together pie that was half cooked and half cut. I guess it makes sense that they could not cut the pizza all the way through because the bottom of the pie crust was super soft like it needed more time in the oven. This was very disappointing because I have gotten this before and did not have a terrible experience. The garlic bread bottom looked like what the bottom of my pizza was supposed to look. As you can see one side of the pizza looks terrible. Overall bad experience.

My wife and I popped in here after a show at the Masonic in San Francisco. It was on our way home to Santa Cruz. We came in around 10:30 on a Wednesday night and got the best server, Nikki.

She made us feel very welcome, she didn’t rush us, and she got our orders perfect. The main reason we come here is for the pizookie. They’re a unique and excellent dessert. And now you can get a small one or a large one, which I believe is a new option. I got the ribeye and as far as steaks go, it was pretty great, especially for the price. I got it rare and they nailed it. The avocado egg roll was a great appetizer and the pizza is “pretty good,” and for my not-picky wife, that’s a pretty solid review.

But literally none of this would matter to us without the excellent service we received. So the five stars is coming from Nikki. She killed it. Best service we’ve had in months.

Been here three times now. 1st 2 times food and services were great.. today service sketchy at best. Asked for items that never came. Had to ask multiple times for other items. Disappointed on this visit. Came back again to five them another try. Had a new server my appetizers came after the main meal so might as well been desert. My steak was supposed to be med but came as rare. The macaroni is not macaroni. And order a drink part way through the meal and the server forgot about it. When I reminded her about the order she said I’m busy. My reaction was wow not sorry I forgot you but I’m busy. When she brought the drink she apologized and said new and we are busy. I can understand being new to the job .. but lose the attitude. Seems like this place is teying to push me to another restraunt in the area.

8/31/2025: Downgraded to two stars from three. I like the people that work here. The issue might be with their computers/management. My order was pasta and pizza family meal $45 and a prime rib dinner $38. Here are my issues today: It took an hour for my order to be ready. Half the food was cold. Caesar salad had no dressing. Prime rib tasted rubbery. No au jus or horseradish were included. Pasta was dry. The food that tasted OK were the clam chowder, mash potatoes and pizookie. The rest is subpar. I’m not driving back to pick up the missing items like last time. Skip this BJ’s location and go to the San Mateo one instead. That one is much better.

Updated review 5/30/2025: Downgraded to three stars. Now I remember why I stopped coming to this BJ’s location. There were a few mishaps before this one and I let it slide. This time, my to-go order were missing fries and bacon. I had to go back, after work to fetch my missing items. They don’t check the food before it goes out. The saving grace is the people that work here. They are nice people. Some of the food are actually not bad. Management needs to put something in place where the food goes out correctly.

Original review: BJ’s is good for that after work beer. They have their own brand of beers at $6.75 a pint. The bar area is lively and the food is alright. We started with their tavern cut, brewhouse pizza $16. This was not bad. It is a thin crust pizza with mushrooms, pepperoni and sausage. It is a lot better than their “deep dish” style pizzas, which is not deep enough for me. For our entrees, we got the 15oz prime ribs for $33 each (+$2.50 for loading the potatoes.) It comes with a soup, two sides and a desert. I opted for the clam chowder, house salad and loaded mash potatoes. It tasted fine. It is not HOPR quality nor was I expecting it. As for the fish & chips $21, we noticed they don’t use the frozen type. The chef used white pieces of fish and breaded it themselves. The chips would have been better if they used a thicker cut of potatoes. After eating our entrees, the deserts arrived. The bus person accidentally drops a side cup of horseradish and splashes it on my Air Max 90 running club special edition roma greens. Luckily I always buy two pairs so no biggie. We enjoyed our meal regardless. Our waitress was excellent. Good job staff at BJ’s.

We came in deep with a large group and serious dietary restrictions (2 with celiac and 1 vegetarian). The restaurant was short on staff for the amount of guests to serve at that late hour, but they nailed it! They met every mark and nobody got sick from cross contact. This is a HUGE deal!! Highly recommend!!

What an awesome place to stop before getting on a flight at the San Francisco airport! We hit the jackpot! This establishment had just opened when we arrived at 11 AM…we had to be at the airport at 12:30. Wednesday had some great specials. $5 for their house drafts (including IPA’s and double IPA’s)!!! The double was excellent. I got one of the deluxe burger specials with fries for $12! My wife got the pizza special with salad and dessert for $13! Everything tasted wonderful. You will pay three or four times this amount at the airport. Our bartender Victoria was awesome! She was very knowledgeable and attentive and clued us in all the specials. Don’t miss this opportunity before you hit the airport!
