Loved the cozy family feel of this place. Everyone was friendly and inviting. They had several specials and I went in right after the breakfast rush. My fish sandwich was hot and tasty and way bigger than I expected. My fav part of my plate was my home-cut fries cooked just right. I wish I had a second order. I was tempted to try some of their homemade desserts but will be stopping the next time I’m on the outer banks.

The picture of my plate should speak for itself. Had a phenomenal Steak and Egg breakfast, service was amazing, their menu isnt very big, but it packs a punch. They ALSO have a 95.5 health score rating… what more could you ask for out of a restaurant? I will be back again at some point. Thank you very much!!

WONDERFUL Tuesday fried chicken special – hot, fresh and DELICIOUS with ABOVE PAR friendly service. I RECOMMEND and will certainly go back for another great meal another time.

Best family restaurant you could go to. You are family as soon as you walk in, whether an out of towner, or a local! They care, and will take time to make sure the service is great, and the atmosphere is fitting to the local area, both historic and modern. Mrs. Wanda Beasley is one of the sweetest southern lady there is, always walking up and smiling, and making even the gloomiest of days, shine! BJ, he’ll joke with you, and do it while hard at work. Benjamin will always walk out and say hey to you, even if he is busy, and only has a second. Tara, and the service team are very dedicated to making sure your service is 100% on point. Wonderful family, awesome food, and terrific family values to make you feel part of the county. 5 stars everytime, even after so many years, the best service is still standing strong at BJ’s Carolina Cafe. ☠️

BJ’s is always one of our go to restaurants but they really outdid themselves on Valentine’s Day. The buffet was absolutely phenomenal! The service was fantastic and the staff even let my kiddos take some delicious chocolate covered strawberries home. I highly recommend this spot for family dining with a nice country atmosphere.

Amazingly good quality food. Live music and discounted wings when we were there on a Wednesday. Staff was amazing. Full bar with good beer selection. You must try the crab dip… Then put the leftover on your burger (if you have any)

Amazing place for breakfast and dinner, though with my experience omelettes are always raw in the middle. Their wings are amazing and like no other. I enjoy BJ’s more for dinner, but their breakfast is still good too. I will say that service can depend on your waitress but I’ve never had too bad of an experience with them. Reasonable prices for what you get!

I found this little gem of a place passing through for work. I stopped in for a late lunch and I was greeted and welcomed by the friendly staff. The waitress was very nice and attentive. The food was outstanding and an excellent value for what I received. I got the fresh catch of the day lunch special which was flounder that day. The fish was perfectly fried and extremely flavorful. The cole slaw was second to my mother’s which I consider to be the best. The fries were great and the bang bang shrimp was the best I’ve ever had. I was even offered a sweet tea to go. I will absolutely be going back during my travels through there.

I cannot say enough good things. It started with us coming in and we were greeted and told they are short staffed and just got an unexpected rush of people so there were gonna be some waiting but they would love to have us if we didn’t mind. LOVED THAT! Then even though they said, there was no delayed service and the food was still served quickly and hot! Then the food was great, reasonably priced. Atmosphere clean and spacious. The only thing better than all that was the service. Our waitress was amazing. Incredibly attentive and friendly! Maybe the best bang bang shrimp I’ve had, fried fresh catch of the day was flounder and it was perfect. Was so stuffed I couldn’t even eat a bite of the cornbread but I took it home to eat later because it looked and smelled so delicious! We will definitely make this a regular stop as we pass through from now on!!
