The Creole Shrimp with Grits was phenomenal, truly amazing. The Collards greens are really good as well. I also enjoyed the sweet potato pie but seriously the shrimp with grits was truly amazing. The wait was pretty long but you can wait in the car and they’ll call.

Excellent food, friendly service. The turkey chops are absolutely delicious. The shrimp and grits melt in your mouth. Portion sizes are very good. Let BJ’s Cafe be your weekend taste treat. And don’t leave without dessert, cake or cobbler; can’t go wrong.

BJ’s has the best baked chicken & dressing ever!! I can’t tell you about anything else because this is so good, I haven’t tried anything else! But I’m sure it’s good too. And the sweet potato pie…..heaven!

This was my first visit to my extended family owned business. The food was excellent in preparation and seasoning. I wish I had gotten more. I will definitely be getting more Sunday dinners there. I wish they were open during the week. I strongly recommend this restaurant for good soul food .

OMG! I ordered the rum cake and dang near ate half of it myself, Melissa is very professional and passionate in her baking skills. The cake was sooo delicious and flavourful!! I will be ordering a cake every two weeks from this point forward!!

Ok first the positive. The food was delicious and fresh. The chicken probably is the best in Gary. The dirty rice was good as well. So there’s the good. Now… customer service needs help. I called my order in which they said would be ready in 15 mins. I got there 22 mins later and still had to wait 16 mins. The people ahead of me had their order messed up twice and had to wait for additional food to be cooked twice. So they were there 30 mins they said. Also the young lady working there was answering phones, handling raw food, handling cooked food, and handling money all with the same gloves on which is very unsanitary.
