Came to review this place and was shocked by the less than 5 star reviews.
First we walked in and were acknowledging immediately. Sat us down and a couple leaving said “hope you enjoy! she’s (our waitress/bartender) is great!)” and boy, was she! My boyfriend had a strawberry lemon whiskey drink and I requested a Cucumber Margarita since it wasn’t on the menu… 10/10 the best margarita i’ve EVER had! so delicious and smooth.
Our food came out so fresh, hot and delicious. I got a Chicken BLT and my boyfriend got the teriyaki chicken burger. You do need to ask for a side which is an extra $3, in my opinion it’s so worth it. We need to remember Fresh Quality food isn’t cheap!
The ranch is homemade and flavorful! So happy we tried this place and we can’t wait to come back to try new things!

Had the shrimp tempura tacos the tortillas fell apart while trying to eat them they were soggy. There was enough shrimp on the tacos, but they should definitely add a second tortilla so they don’t fall apart however that’s what you get for serving corn tortillas with soggy food. The Jalapeño burger was perfect on spice. However, the burger tasted more like liver than it did like burger. The waitress was nice food came out decently quick. Disappointed that for almost $15 the burger did not come with fries that’s an additional $3. Might give this place a second chance, but probably not.

The woman who served us was incredibly sweet and knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered the Korean Chicken Salad, and aside from some crunchy noodles and the Asian-inspired dressing, it was just a salad. It would have benefited from Korean-spiced chicken. My husband got the salmon burger and tots. He liked it and appreciated the hefty portion. I would have ordered the molten chocolate cake, but it was $11 and I couldn’t bring myself to order a dessert that would almost double the cost of my meal. Not sure why this was so high when most of the meals were reasonably priced. Anyway, I would go back for the service and the eclectic menu.

I love the concept of this place, I really do. I’m typically into fusion food, especially when it combines Asian and American foods creatively, which Bites Restaurant tries to do with their eclectic and diverse menu. However, I think that Bites fails to do so cohesively and in a tasty manner, at least from my personal experience. I ate here with my friend who would describe the kimchi burger as okay, but I was not a fan of the udon soup at all. I’m fine with things not being authentic, but I thought that it was just bland besides an overwhelming taste of too-salty soy sauce. I did enjoy the green bean tempura, however. Service was okay, nothing special or overly friendly, and not as accommodating as I would have liked. Food came out pretty quickly. The restaurant wasn’t super clean and my table had a fly buzzing around it. This is definitely not a place I would recommend to anyone.

Eclectic, cool eatery with very nice decor, and varied menu. Not exactly a tapas place as described by Google though, but irrelevant. It’s a great place to eat with many interesting choices, expertly prepared. The tempura shrimp tacos, in particular, were fabulous, and the chicken donburi bowl was excellent as well. Service is very fast and efficient. This is a popular place, so seating can be limited at times.

So a few things to say here. Got here around 12:30pm on a Thursday, expected them to be at least slightly busy. No one inside at all except two older ladies who had just arrived. There was one worker there seating them and us. It seemed like there was another person there who disappeared almost immediately.
The person working told us he was actually a cook, who had been left there by himself, and he wasn’t sure about waiting on tables, but would his best.
We ordered quickly, and he went back and started cooking. We had the Korean boneless chicken wings, chicken tacos, and my wife had a burger.
The wings were fantastic. Literally perfect. I could eat a couple of orders. Perfect balance of heat and sweet.
My chicken tacos were also perfect. Loved them. The Chipotle sauce was a great complement to them.
The kimchi fries stole the show. I’d go back just to get them and the wings.
My wife liked her burger too. I didn’t try it, although it looked good.
So- the weird thing is nobody else was working. 3 or 4 more tables arrived as we were finishing, same guy doing everything.
Props to him for being a hard worker and a great cook. Management obviously needs some help.

First time eating here, and we had a great experience. Not many great restaurants in Forest Grove, at least not many modern ones. Burger was great, as were the fries. The breakfast sandwich was a nice touch. Interior had a spacious but cozy feel.

The food was tasty. Nothing over the top, but tasty. Im not a fan of a la carte menus, tbh. $14 for 2 street tacos is a little high, and then another $8 for fries? Tasty, but not a $22 meal. The kimchi is quiet good, and my first experience with homemade. Its vegan based, which i appreciate (shrimp allergans) but it explained why a large portion of the menu are meals without meat protiens. Service was good, though it took awhile to be acknowledged. Ordered a Jim beam, which im pretty sure was not jim beam, but they were very friendly and checked in often.

I held a special Birthday Event for Mom’s 80th at Bites and had a fabulous time! About 35 guests from the local area some had been at Bites before some were new to Bites. All had a great time!
We chose special menu items, the host and cooks keep us fed with warm and delicious dishes throughout the time of our party. The calamari was special, crab bites amazing, cheese tots, mozz cheese egg rolls, everything was a delight. I can’t wait to have another meal again at Bites next time I am in Forest Grove.
