We started with the chips and salsa, which were actually really good. The chips were fresh and crispy, and the salsa had nice flavor and just the right amount of kick.
Unfortunately, the main course didn’t live up to expectations. I ordered the enchiladas, and when they came out, the tortillas were very dry and rubbery, which made them difficult to enjoy. The sauce was also extremely thick—almost pasty—which overpowered the dish instead of complementing it. Overall, it just wasn’t a great food experience.
On a positive note, the wait staff was friendly and attentive, which I appreciated. Good service goes a long way, but the food quality needs improvement for me to return.
Supreme burrito with fajita chicken was 16 dollars and left me hungry. Imagine it as a smaller chipotle chicken burrito that’s not as good. There was mainly lettuce inside without much rice or beans. No rice or beans on the side of the plate either.
My wife got the pollo poblano which she likes but it was supposed to come with guacamole. It came with 4 slices of avacado that was going bad. She liked it either way.
My daughter ordered a cheese enchilada and received a chicken enchilada. She at it anyway and said it was good.
Service was pretty bad. There were only two servers at 430 with a full restaurant. What I found funny was there were multiple owner/manager types walking around talking, but not helping or even lifting a finger for the dinner rush.
I ate almost all our hot sauce and chips before our server saw us for the first time for drink orders. She got or orders wrong. She rarely visited the table so we had empty waters. This is not her fault but the plethora of managers just jacking around and not running a restaurant correctly. Really hoping they turn it around!!
The restaurant still has the same dirty interior with the same dirty furniture. Looks like we will still need to drive to McKinney for decent Mexican food.
