Service was excellent. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s definitely a place well visit again as it’s so well placed in the city centre and the menu is very good value.
Special thanks to the manager who sorted out my bill quickly and efficiently. Really appreciated.
We went to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. My dishes were okay, I would recommend the duck salad starter & duck al orange main.
The lamb dish is stingy, more onions & gravy rather than lamb and carrots were just boiled.
The service was okay we appreciated the honesty however there was no come back to our table to ask about our dishes and no goodbye when we were leaving.
After spending over £200, that’s something you don’t forget.
Overall food is not bad, but overpriced and the service is lacking. I will not be going back and will recommend Miller & Carter over Bistrot Pierre.
Cappuccino is so beautifully made. And dessert is awesome. If there is one tiny flaw, that might be the bit-chewy chicken.
This is a very good place to come, especially for 2, at Sundays for their wonderful set menu of Sunday Roast.
As we were sat, the only menu on the table was the Valentine’s Day menu. I asked our server (who was lovely) if we could be given the standard menu, to which she said yes. We placed our orders as normal. Before long, our server returned very apologetically with our drinks, saying that unfortunately, only the special Valentine’s Day menu was available, which had none of the dishes my partner and I wanted order on it, and was double the price of a standard meal. After my partner and I had a discussion between ourselves, we apologised to our server, put on our coats, and left, having not touched any of the drinks provided.
The fact that the restaurant did not think to advise us on this front, nor plan for couples who may not have wanted their specialist menu to be served to them is very odd. It was an extremely disappointing experience, combined with the fact that I had planned to arrive months in advance, and that it’s obviously nearly impossible to find a table for two on the evening of Valentine’s Day. Luckily, we had a very nice dinner elsewhere.
I do not recommend booking any special occasion at this restaurant, provided you don’t want to double the size of your bill with only half of the food options available to you.
I give 4 starts, but I’d say 4.5 as it was warm, but not HOT. But delicious. The chocolate mousse was excellent.
My guests also thoroughly enjoyed their meals. We will return.
