Fab meal, very atmospheric spot, we sat on the terrace and watched the world go by. Great specials board, I went for the lamb in tarragon sauce and was one of the best meals of my trip! Catered well for our baby too. V impressed with the chocolate mousse dessert. Seemed popular with the locals.

Very buzzy with lots of locals for a reason. Fantastic choice of wines by the glass. Vegetarian choice limited but the dish on the menu was cooked to perfection. Lovely service. Highly recommended if coming to Saumur for a visit.

My wife had the Chicken supreme and I had Pork with chorizo if am being honest it was very bland lacking in flavour. The service was good. Atmosphere was good. I will come back to try something else. My wife had dessert pear sorbet she said it was the best part of her meal

We really enjoyed our meal here, what a treat! Best of the holiday. We had the set menu, including the daily special for the main, and asked our waiter to recommend a glass of wine to go with each of the first two courses. We ended up with a white, then a red, which were both excellent. Every course the food was delicious and my boyfriend said his dessert was the best chocolate mousse he’d ever had in his life! We paid a very reasonable price for the quality of food and wine on offer. To sum up, friendly and knowledgable staff, great atmosphere (a summer’s evening in the square), great value and really lovely food and wine. 10/10!

We had the entrée and plat du jour, as well as the œuf-parfait and onglet de bœuf, and were not disappointed. Everything was flavoured and seasoned to perfection, and the service was warm and friendly too, even though we’re British. A glass of local sparkling wine was only 7€ which was nice to taste since we were in the area. Very reasonably priced for the quality of the food.

Entrees, Main and deserts all tried. Wine menu was quite something too. The shared Cote de Boeuf casserole between 3 was a real treat and perfectly cooked. Fish also excellently flavoured as were the starters. Good specials too. We didnt have a booking but they found a space on a busy Saturday night and service was great throughout. Highly recommend this Bistrot.
