I’ve travelled the world and I keep coming back from the Bistro’s steak tartar that has no equal. Everytime I return to Edmonton, it’s the first restaurant I visit. The simple, reliable yet absolutely satisfying nature of the food has brining me back for decades. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. Same faces year after year.
The roast duck, cordon blu schnitzel, and rainbow trout are favourites of family and friends. Escargot are a great appetizer. Love to finish up with an apple strudel or crepe with a Turkish coffee.
Make a reservation if you’re looking to go on a Saturday night.

Bistro Praha is truly a hidden gem. Not only a feast for the stomach but also for the eyes!
The restaurant itself has a gorgeous interior that gives it a rustic European aesthetic that definitely suits cuisine.
Each meal is fresh and prepared beautifully, making it impossible to leave without a picture or two.
The duck was definitely a family favourite by the end of a night, a must try if you enjoy rich, quality flavours and a filling meal!

Amazing food and quality service!!! We booked a reservation and the waitress seated us at a nice table that was in the corner.
She gave us great recommendations on food and checked in us multiple times. The owner also came to see how we were doing. We sat and talked for a long time but they allowed us to feel comfortable and have that privacy.
The food itself was amazing. We loved the beef tartar and the fish. The fried mushrooms was also delicious.
Would come back again to try other dishes as well!

Lovely place with a variety of Eastern European food! Staff are very friendly and welcoming! Food was absolutely delicious, just like if mom/grandma cooked it! Very pricey but this place has had its fare share of celebrity guests too.

The goulash was excellent, tender, rich, and absolutely delicious. Everything about this place feels authentic, from the hearty food and Czech beers to the choice of their furniture. It’s a lovely spot with real character. If I lived in Edmonton, I’d be coming here all the time.

Absolutely loved our dinner here! The food was delicious and had good portion sizes. The staff were all so friendly and kind and the restaurant was a little squishy but had a very homey feel. We tried the fried breaded cheese, house salad, goulash with bread dumplings, smoked pork shoulder, grilled chicken, Austrian apple strudel, and the strawberry crêpe, and everything was amazing. The dinner was a little pricey but so so worth it. We’ll definitely be back

Fantastic date night meal at Bistro Praha! It was my first time here and the staff took great care of us. This place has been in Edmonton for ages and I can see why! Chef Josh made sure to take care of us and explained all the flavour profiles of all the unique dishes. Try the steak tartare, schnitzel, fried breaded cheese, Jeremy salad, you can’t go wrong! Shout outs to the staff and to Josh for making this a special evening.
