I usually don’t put negative reviews on a dining place, but felt like this was needed. We were a party of six celebrating a birthday, made reservations ahead of time. First impression upon entering was delightful…small with very limited seating, but a cozy feel. Well, that feeling went out the window because having a packed house, the noise was deafening!!!!! The table we were sitting at was crammed against the people behind us and trying to get out to use the restroom was almost impossible! We ordered our food and almost an hour later, after repeated inquiries of how much longer, the food arrived. Fries were cold, hamburger bun cold, burger was bland, salmon was torched, not seared, and overall, none of us enjoyed our food. The server was great and sympathetic to our situation, so was the manager who proceeded to inform of lack of help and unusual large parties. She discounted two meals on total bill, which we appreciated. Overall, this Bistro needs to limit patrons to a manageable number according to the number of employees that are working. So disappointed with our first experience dining there…one and done!

We stopped here for lunch on our way to Knoxville, and we are so glad we did. Everything was delicious, reasonably priced and our waitress was so nice. If we lived in Bristol, we would be regular customers.
P.S. Wish we also had a picture of our dessert – brownie with soft ice-cream.

First time diner at the Bistro on 6th. The overall vibe was kinda cool and laid back, and our server, Sophie, was friendly and welcoming. The food was hit and miss. I had the champagne pork (hit), which was quite tasty, and the presentation was nice. However, my date’s dish, the Bistro Burger (miss), was not what you would expect at a restaurant that presents themselves as an upscale bistro. The meat was lackluster, the toppings were ok (pickled red onions were a nice touch), and the bun, while light and airy (clearly not commercially produced), quickly became mushy and flat due to the juices from the ingredients. The fries were nicely done, crispy and hot with the just right amount of seasoning. His soup, the tomato bisque, had an outstanding flavor, but could have been smoother (for a bisque, it was too chunky). The impression we walked away with was that the person in the kitchen is more of a cook than a chef. While nothing wrong with that, it certainly did not support the upscale bistro facade. All in all, I would recommend going there for the entrees, as there is a nice selection to choose from, rather than the $17 burger.

We got in an hour before they closed. Not only did they get our order in quick (and it was AMAZING), Alyssa recommended the whiskey (Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel Finish) for the meal and WHOA. Please come here of you can.

This is one of the best dining out experiences we’ve had in awhile! The food was so, so good! We try fried green tomatoes whenever they’re offered, and these are the best we’ve had! The pasta salad and baked mac & cheese are terrific! I got the bistro burger and was pleasantly surprised that it was actually one of the best burgers that I’ve had! It’s a small restaurant, but nicely appointed. Very clean and welcoming. Our waitress, Emily, was so friendly and personable! Head on over to 6th in downtown Bristol! You won’t regret it!

The Manchego cheese dip was incredible and the Nutella stuffed skillet cookie was killer. Get it with caramel on top and that was the perfect touch. Will definitely be back! Samarah was our server and was incredibly upbeat the whole time. She made the visit that much more memorable!

A great place to grab a bite in the downtown Bristol Area. The Bistro has a cozy, friendly atmosphere. The menu offered some unique items that were well prepared and tasty. Our server was very pleasant and diligent with her service. I will dine there again.

This place is cute but the food and service is hit or miss. Went for lunch for a charcuterie and a Cuban sandwich. Fries were limp and soggy, sandwich was flavorless, but the charcuterie was delicious. Wait staff was alright, I asked for the wifi password and they told me they don’t have it because the owner won’t even give it to them ….. Why offer it and have “bistro guest” but don’t actually give it to customers ? A wasted opportunity as I would love to come work and get lunch but that’s not really an option here. Might go back to try the dinner menu, might not, might go try the place next door.

This place has a very quaint appearance. The food was great. The staff are very friendly and super efficient. The pickle board appetizer was awesome. But wouldn’t pair it with the shrimp and grits. The saltiness of the pickles are a bit much when combined with the salty Creole. AGAIN. Both are great. Just not together.
Only negative was the bourbon prices. We do look forward to a return visit. Samarah, one of our servers, was awesome.
