Reviews
Bistro Hilary in Senoia offers a unique and eclectic atmosphere paired with genuinely quality food.
We started with the Mozzarella Pillows. While the serving size was good, they were unfortunately a little too greasy and over-fried. The accompanying, authentic marinara, however, was excellent.
The mains were the true stars. The Chicken Parmesan was well-cooked, generously portioned, and perfectly coated in the house marinara. But the Braised Lamb Risotto stole the show—it was a rich, bold, and incredibly satisfying dish that we couldn’t stop raving about.
Bistro Hilary is a spot that delivers on taste.
Service was really bad. We ordered 3 appetizers and two entrees, but our server forgot to course out the food so we got every dish at almost the same time.
She took 10-15 mins to bring our wine, but had time to clean the tables around instead? I get it if there were reservations coming, but no one came.
She took our water glasses even though we had ordered another bottle. By the way, she didnt offer water options, just gave us tap without asking. Unusual for a restaurant at this level.
She rushed our desserts as well, bringing us the check when we had barely touched them. “No rush” she said, but then why bring the check? Left the receipt on top of a small puddle on the table, so it got all wet.
I had to flag her to order my apperitif, she didnt even ask with desserts. Again, unusual for a restaurant at your level.
And you know what’s the worst part? This was our anniversary dinner. We said that on our reservation twice.
I was not expecting anything complementary, but at least having the level of service of the place we thought was the best restaurant around.
We spent $250 (almost $300 with tip) but got the kind of service we would have expected at a fast casual venue.
The specials are varied and of excellent quality. You can tell that the chef and the cooking staff do not cut corners here. When they talk about crab meat, you will have authentic huge lump crab meat. The cut of meat are also excellent.
I do offer one word of warning. Be very clear about the drink specials and what is reduced price. We ended up getting a few drinks each thinking they were all half priced and they were not. This would not deter us to go back, we loved the place, just something I wanted to mention.
We had a young man who was our server and he was outstanding. A stone, cold professional. He knew every item and he never had to write anything down. Everything was perfect.
Highly recommended on all levels. My wife has come here for lunch and she said it is also exceptional. Looking forward to coming back soon.
Service: Georgia B our server was attentive and wonderful!!! An absolute pleasure who made our 1st visit to the restaurant worth it!
Food: Good but my salad was just spinach and dressing. Crab cakes were good and my husband enjoyed his steak. Wish there were better options for sides.
2 stars for greeting and seating.
4 stars for food.
5 stars is for Georgia!!!
