We tried a variety of dishes during our visit and every single one impressed us. The appetizers were full of flavor and the pasta was cooked perfectly. The desserts were presented right at the table and each one looked amazing. We ended up choosing a few and they tasted even better than they looked. Our server checked on us often and kept the mood warm and pleasant throughout the meal. A truly delightful experience from beginning to end. Five stars.

Wonderful evening tonight with friends at Bistro D’Antonio. Drinks were on point. The most delicious espresso martini & the Antonio Old Fashion. Stuffed mushrooms for our appetizer. Then followed by lemon sorbet to clean our palette before the main course. Our table had lasagna, veal parmesan, meatballs, risotto. Finishing touch was the Napoleon for dessert. So light and fluffy. Such a beautiful classic place. Can’t wait to go back.

Cozy restaurant with a nice atmosphere. Our server was very engaging & recommended a couple of dishes since it was our first time going. We were a party of 7 with 4 adults & 3 kids. The food was great, the pineapple martini & sangria were also pretty good. We spent a little over $300 gratuities included.
I don’t know that we would take the kids again as they are too young to appreciate the authenticity of the food, especially for such an expensive dinner. All 4 adults enjoyed the experience…

My wife and I made reservations for Valentine’s day. (Friday 2/13) hoping to have a romantic evening. It was our first time here. We chose Bistro D’Antonio because reviews used words like “cozy” to describe the atmosphere. What we experienced was far from “cozy”. It appears that the owner decided to choose profitability over ambiance and split all the 4 seat tables into separate 2 seat spaces to accommodate more diners.
The result was that the dining room was so cramped that the wait staff could not 1-fit between the tables 2- face us directly to take our orders 3- had to reach over us to place our plates. It was loud, cramped and less than what we expected.
While the food was good and the staff was excellent, doing their best given how cramped and uncomfortable the set-up was.
For the price, I would have expected more. It is unlikely we will be back.

Great dining experience. Food was yummy and exceptional prepared. Right amount of portions and not over salted. Service was out standing. Don’t forget the perfect South Philly prepared connoli. Room was a little noisy.

We loved our meal at Bistro D’Antonio this evening. They were accommodating to my family without a reservation on a busy Saturday night and were lovely to our two year old. Antonio’s previous restaurants in Ballantyne and South End were our absolute favorites so we were so happy to find this spot in Waxhaw 10 years later. The appetizers, entrees and desserts were all delicious, the service was great and the place was completely full but it still wasn’t too loud. We all loved the sorbet palate cleanser as fun treat!
