Saturday is ‘steak night’ at Bistro 9101. That can raise expectations to pretty high level but I wasn’t disappointed! My 12 oz strip was blackened, medium rare, and seasoned perfectly. Ceasar salad had anchovy pieces with the perfect amount of dressing. Service was cordial and efficient. A wonderful dinner experience!

Wonderful combinations of various spices and flavors. The chipotle butter with chives for my steak was fabulous. My steak was tender and cooked perfectly. The garlic parmesan frites were out of this world. The prices are more than average but the quality of the food service (thanks Maria!) Is far superior! Maria was super friendly and helpful as well as attentive. Overall a tremendous dining experience!!

I’m a tough critic and appreciate great food. I’ve been here 4 times, and the food is always outstanding! Creative combinations of flavors and ingredients lead to a really really great dining experience. The scallops were outstanding and their pasta dishes are creative and delicious. Great Beer list too!

Visited a few times and the food is always average but very overpriced for the area and mediocrity. The only reason my wife and I keep going is because they are open relatively late for a sit down restaurant. I give one star for the high prices but also because they had a band that sang very politically charged songs. I think that is highly inappropriate. My wife and I were looking for a pleasant evening. I was not looking to be offended while I drop $75 on dinner because you want to book musicians who trash talk the sitting President of the United States. To add insult to injury, the band sounded horrible and had raucous 60-70 year old hippie groupies. Again, when I am paying $20 for a plate of pasta, I expect a certain atmosphere that is pleasant. By pleasant I mean not noisy and not political or religious.
I wish that experience never happened because there are very few options in the neighborhood such that my wife and I would still be frequenting the restaurant.

This place is great. Nice quiet atmosphere in the dining room and frequent live music in the bar. Angela (hostess) is always welcoming and friendly. Steakhouse Saturday cannot be missed and the roasted garlic served with your dinner bread is out of this world.

The food was amazing. But, we were literally the only customers there early on a Friday. The decor is the one reason it didn’t get 5 stars. It is dated and non-desript. Also, I wonder at the prices–if the ambiance matched the food, I wouldn’t question the prices. As it is, the food is really good, but the ambiance says 90s and the prices say 2017.

I like this place, it’s just a poor location. It doesn’t fit the neighborhood well. On the positive side, the food is always good. We enjoy going because it’s never that crowded. Sometimes we will end a night here as well for a drink. Staff is always friendly, and some evenings they have live entertainment. Atmosphere is a little dated and dark.

My husband and I recently went on a Saturday night. We had been previously, and enjoyed their steaks. This time, the service was very slow (pretty sure it was the kitchen, not the server) and our steaks arrived very rare instead of medium, as ordered. We both sent ours back to get refired. The table next to us had similar issues. My potatoes came out cold in the middle (like they were in the refrigerator and didn’t get reheated all the way through). It was as if the cook forgot about our order and just threw stuff together. The manager came over and comped our dessert, but by then, the damage was done.

In addition to the food issues, the musicians were very loud. It was hard to carry on a conversation.

I’m sad to say this, since we love supporting local businesses, but we won’t be back.

This family run restaurant is fantastic. I have described the soup as “magical” more than once – several different soups! The food, atmosphere and service are all phenomenal. And they are very accommodating to dietary restrictions, just ask.

Met up with some out of town friends here, because it came highly recommended by a co-worker. We were advised to get a reservation, but when we arrived there was only one other table of people so…no need for that. The menu selection was extremely limited, but we each found something we thought we’d enjoy. I can’t speak for my friends, but my meal was very underwhelming. Didn’t eat much of it, and asked for a box. Wasn’t disappointed when I got home and realized I’d forgotten the box, except that the meal was pretty expensive for what I got. I’d been hoping to take it home and add some kind of flavor when I reheated it. Overall…this place isn’t bad, but it’s not good either.
