George was an absolute pleasure to chat with and was incredibly hospitable! And this food! I got his hand breaded fried chicken sandwich and hand cut friend fries (all fried in non-hydrogenated oil btw!) For $8.95 And it was fantastic. My boyfriend had a breakfast dish and also loved it. They have intermittent hours during the winter and will be closed for the next few weeks, so definitely call before stopping by- but this is for sure an undiscovered gem and once they’re fully open again you do not wanna miss it!!

The Bison Inn Cafe is definitely a place we visit every time we are in Montana. It is a small cafe that every dish is cooked fresh which does add a little time to the visit but the absolutely amazing flavors are worth the wait. The huckleberry pancakes were huge and so sweet! We had added a single pancake to our main dishes to split and the chicken fried steak was big enough for 2 people! Handmade frag and not frozen! One of our favorites! The building is a little older but don’t let that scare you away from having generous portions of fresh, delicious food

I loved the food and atmosphere. They are great people and treat you like family. I love them and this place. You must try the fry bread indian taco and buffalo burgers. The potatoes soup is a must have as well. The food is all made from scratch so no commerical made products here. Stop in and have a bite to eat!

It’s not a place I would think to stop at if I was just driving by as it’s outward appearance is nothing special. The food however is great and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely go again if I am ever passing through Ravalli

Shortly after we landed at the airport we headed towards the Bison Inn. I remembered loving the fish and chips as a kid and wanted to go again. We got the huge bison burger with two huge bison patties and ham and bacon and fish and chips. While the other person in my party couldn’t even fit the burger in his mouth, he absolutely loved the burger and said it was juicy with great flavor. I enjoyed my fries as they were hot and crispy on the outside but the fish part was a bit overdone and tasted like it came out of a box in the freezer section. I would get something else next time. The waiter was also the owner and very nice and attentive to our drinks.
