Got the rib tips, green beans, and fried okra. As far as barbecue goes, it was good. For the price, though, it was amazing. Very fair prices, which is nice to find. Sauces were good as well. Very friendly employees. Enjoyed my lunch!

Doesn’t look like much but head on inside and give them a try.
Beef brisket had a good smoked flavor.
Coleslaw wasn’t bad but a bit much on the black pepper.
Mushrooms were great, very delicious.
Fun atmosphere of different signs and phrases.
Overall a good experience with friendly staff that worked on the common good of filling our bellies.

Picked up takeout for a family meal. The place was busy but our food was ready promptly. Unfortunately, this was the worst BBQ meal I’ve ever had. The pulled pork had NO smoke flavor, the beans were candy sweet, and the slaw tasted like it was coated with milk and mayo with no other seasoning. My mom got the brisket; it was very salty and dry.
This is barbecue for people afraid of real barbecue. You pull up to a BBQ joint, you expect to see smoke stains and a roiling smokestack cooking up succulent pork. You won’t find that here.

Well let me see where to start. I had a mobile order for a rib tip plate with baked beans and Mac and cheese. I got it to work and open the container and wasn’t impress at all. The Mac and cheese had no flavor. Baked beans was lacking also. The rib tips look like they was the bottom scraps of a container mostly fat and grizzle. This will be my last time I come to Bishops. This is by far my worst food experience. The service was good because all they had to do was give me my bag. So I’m strictly rating this on food.

Here in Tupelo for work and stopped in for lunch.
This is a good place for a quick lunch trip, we ordered and the food almost beat us to the table.
Fired green tomatoes were my favorite. Macho Nacho’s were ok but I probably wouldn’t order them again.
Coworker had the cranberry pecan chicken salad sandwich and they said it was really good.
Finished it off with some banana pudding that was really good as well.

Best barbecue ever! So yourself a favor and get the brisket sandwich with a side of fried mushrooms and macaroni and cheese! The best macaroni I’ve ever had. The brisket was so juicy and they had a variety of sauces for you to choose from (which they were all delicious) and the fried mushrooms we delicious with shredded parmesan on top. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. My kids had the kids catfish and let me tell you what they didn’t finish, I did! Fresh, perfectly battered, and flat out yummy!

Real good food. Brisket was tasty, sliced thin, plastic knife tender. Barbecue sauces were delicious, I actually mixed all three.
Classic Sides made from scratch were refreshing
Creamy mac & cheese, crisp corn on the cob w butter, chopped slaw, and a ranch potato salad all hit the spot.
I would eat here again.

Great BBQ of all kinds plus they offer a wide variety of sides that are unique to most places. Their potato salad is to die for. Plus they have homemade desserts including banana pudding which is the best I’ve had so far. They actually serve brisket here which is nice, as most places around here focus only on pork.

I have to give 5 stars because this is about the best BBQ that you can get and the staff are very inviting. I always stop in when I’m in Tupelo. Never dissatisfied. Make it a point to visit here when you are in the area.
