The pictures look different, but same name of the restaurant we dined. It was packed with locals and recommended by Alfredo’s Jewelry Store. Comparing to Mexican restaurants in US, the price is shockingly low. Meal for 2/$15! Staff were super nice & happy.

We come monthly to Los Algodones for my daughter’s dental work and this is the best place for birria and tacos hands down. They have several different types of birria (my fav is the lamb) and its awesome whether in a bowl, burro, or taco durado. The pollo asado is excellent and the carne asada tacos are 2nd to none. The servers are hard working and kind, keeping up with our needs even when they are busy. The prices are great for the size of the meal. Its definitely a “hole in the wall” place, but with its own unique charm. Every time we bring someone here, they go home and rave about it.

Such good food!! We had the pollo and carne asada tostada and the carne asada burrito. Tortillas made on the spot, and delicious. The tray that comes out with your food had everything you could ever need salsas were good, but would have been amazing if they were mixed together. The green avocado salsa is so light and refreshing with lime and cilantro, truly wish I could have brought a gallon of that back across the border. Everything we had with 2 Cokes came out to $14

The tacos dorados and tacos de cabeza are super good. The burritos de guisado are super good also. There is so much to pick from. The service is great. The totopos and salsa they have are super good you can even buy some to take home. The service is exceptional. Next time I’m trying there pollo asada it smell so delicious.

El Paisa is my favorite restaurant by far. They start out with complimentary nacho chips and THREE bowls of salsa and dip.

The carne asada tacos were a hit everytime. They do the cooking out front of the restaurant along the sidewalk, such a cool vibe.

The rice was tasty, the refried beans were great (and the only restaurant that actually served them hot)

They bring out this big tray just for you with 5 compartments of cucumbers, red onions, cabbage (I think) pico and limes.

Two tacos, rice, refried beans, chips, 3 dips, and tray that I described above for $6.00

They make local deliveries constantly. It’s where the locals go. It’s an authentic experience and it’s good! Friendly people, too. Say hi to Hector!
