I also got the chicken sandwich and that was not good. The chicken was so tough even cutting it with a fork and knife was a challenge. My wife got the panini, and said the chicken on there was also very tough.
Service was excellent, although we did feel a little rushed at first becaus the waitress came by once a minute to ask if we were ready to order. Not really a problem, just an observation.
You seat yourself which can be tricky since nights are often crowded with college students.
Daily drink specials are offered.
Menu selections include a variety of appetizers, salads, wraps, sandwiches, pizza and of course wings.
We had to wait a little bit to find a table but as we looked around, everyone was having their wings.
We ordered a pitcher of beer (Drink special of the day 12.00) and a basket of 20 wings with their own Birds Best Hot Sauce and an order of Cajun fries with cheese for dipping.
Fries were not greasy but I wish the cheese sauce was warm and not cold.
The wings had just the right amount of crisp and the sauce was not too hot …just right! Good size and very meaty. They are the real deal!
Plenty of street parking and an outdoor patio in the summer.
If you want good wings in the city at a decent price, this is the place to go.
The buffalo wings themselves were amazing—great flavor, cooked well. That said, we ordered 10 wings each, which arrived together in one large basket. When we split them up, we realized we had only received 24 wings total. That’s confusing considering wings are ordered in increments of ten. It honestly makes you wonder how that even happens.
We brought it up to our waitress, who immediately alerted the manager/bartender (the one with the wing tattoo on the back of his neck). Unfortunately, this is where the experience really took a turn. He was extremely rude, never apologized once, and didn’t offer any explanation at all. The only thing he asked was whether we wanted the missing wings “for here or to go.” Since we were watching a basketball game, we said for here.
About ten minutes later, he came back, dropped the wings on the table without saying a single word, and walked away. No apology, no acknowledgment of the mistake, no explanation—nothing. The waitress later came back and apologized again, which only further highlighted how poorly the manager handled the situation.
Bottom line: the food is good and the waitstaff is great, but the management response was unacceptable. Mistakes happen, but refusing to apologize or communicate is a choice. Make sure you get what you pay for when you come here.
We hadn’t been here in about 8 years and glad to see not really much has changed. Quesadilla was good and we ordered 20 wings with their special sauce and hot BBQ, they were amazing.
Place was packed on a Sunday afternoon so be prepared for a wait, but it’ll be worth it.
