You’re not coming to Billy’s for the decor. Although there is a painting hanging in the corner. What I came for was the lure of a gyro (pronounced by the employee in the truly American Jie-Roe way) and lightly seasoned fries. I’d say the gyro was above average. The fries were delicious. Definitely worth the price. Half of the soda fountain machine was not working while I was there, but that did not impact my choices. Staff was friendly, and the a/c blows nice and cool while you are waiting for your order. Billy’s has a great selection of comfort foods that I definitely want to come back and try some more of.

We the 7 pc jumbo shrimp, 6 tenders with fries, mozzarella sticks and dr.pepper. The breading on the shrimp was extremely salty, tenders were moist, mozzarella sticks where nice and goey. Problem with our order was the salty shrimp, no marinara sauce, asked for honey mustard dipping sauce received Dijon mustard. We didn’t get the marinara sauce requested for the mozzarella sticks. The dr. pepper we never received. We called and had to give them a run down of the whole order and then they said call back in 10 minutes when the owner will be there. I tell him ok. I call back and he said “what did I want him to do?” I tell him refund the beverage, or deliver it. He says deliver 1 soda that’s what you want I can’t deliver 1 soda. It was the drivers fault he didn’t ask for the soda. I said refund it. He says ok. We never received the refund. Should never have to have that long of a conversation with someone about items not received but paid for. The driver even told us he had no soda.

I ordered the small catfish nuggets yesterday and they provided alot for it being the small order. They were perfectly seasoned not too salty. Being from out of town (NC) I wanted to try something different so I ordered the Chopped Sandwich. Needless to say…. I will go back to try other items today. 😉

Right off the bat on ordering the total was higher than advertised at 13.96.
He claims an 89c credit card fee. Receipt says 12.99 cost then taxes, no mention of credit card fee on top. And even if it was, 89c plus 11.99 ain’t 12.99 so he was lying on that too.
That means they could be skimming at least a dollar on every transaction if they do it for every menu item.

You know, this place may just be the best kept secret in Tampa. The food is solid quality, made to order & delicious! I hope someone is learning all the skills this chef presents in every dish. Many restaurants offer a varied menu and usually can’t pull off the expertise on all the variety. This gent ensures each order is made well. You can feel it as you enjoy his craft. From the gyros to the heavenly fish it’s all always fantastic He cooks from his heart and I suspect he teaches with his heart. You have made my day so many times, and I wish very much that my dad had lived to enjoy coming with me. Thank you for all you do, guys.

Took my family to this restaurant they were nice treated us with all kindness and were very patient considering we were a party of 12 the food was so worth it I will definitely go back clean place as well means a lot to me personally I recommend this place.

I always give a good review never had a issue until 5/11/2024 when I was served burnt crummy fries I asked could I have some fresh fries I was told no cause there gonna look the same and there nothing they can do about it no refund or nothing I come to this restaurant a lot so I know there fries don’t always look like that I really hate I couldn’t enjoy my food because of this the shrimps was good just those nasty looking fries I like my fries fresh golden and hot……. I couldn’t even eat the fries straight garbage
