What a fantastic local spot! From the moment we walked in, the service was incredibly friendly and welcoming. It’s not a big, flashy place; it has that perfect, cozy atmosphere of a classic neighborhood joint where you just feel comfortable.
We ordered the Polish Chicago-style hot dog, and it was absolutely outstanding. The sausage had that perfect snap, and it was loaded up correctly with all the fresh toppings—mustard, onions, relish, sport peppers, a pickle spear, tomato, and a dash of celery salt. It was one of the best I’ve had in a long time.
You can just tell they take pride in their great food and in taking care of their customers. If you’re looking for genuinely friendly service and a top-tier Chicago dog, you can’t go wrong with Billy’s. I’m already planning my next visit!

The Gyro was delicious honestly it was the best I’ve had all year. Go get you one!! Fresh and flavorful. I could have used more sauce but next time I’ll ask for extra. Overall very satisfying and will go back again and again!! The cashier was very friendly and I loved the great energy when I stopped in. Thanks guys.

Was working in the area and have been here before and was happy with the food and service. Unfortunately they said they were only accepting cash which I only had card on me. Went to the gas station and took cash from the ATM and I returned. He asked how much the atm charge was n told him 3 dollars. He then proceeded to take 3 bucks off the bill. That was awesome! That’s how u do customer service! Will definitely come back when we’re in the area. Thanks Bogdon( hopefully I spelled it correctly)

I am always on the lookout for little mom and pops places or smaller local businesses to enjoy a meal from. I found Billy’s for the 1st time yesterday. Tucked away, it sits in a shopping center just west of Plum Grove on Illinois. I ordered something you really can’t go wrong with. Their 1/4 lb cheeseburger with everything on it, fries and a strawberry lemonade.The cheeseburger was seasoned perfectly, and the grilled onions served it well. The fried are amazing. They were cooked perfectly. I added a little extra salt, but that’s just me. The strawberry lemonade was tasty, but could have used a tad more strawberry flavor, but hey, that’s just me too! All and all – FABULOUS.

Billy’s is a hidden gem. Vienna Beef Hall of Fame level Chicago Dog standards executed perfectly, and a whole lot of custom fresh option entres too.
Decor and cleanliness had me taken aback and confused. This is not your greasy sticky hotdog hole in the wall I’ve come to accept after decades of Vienna Beef dives around the city. Spic and span dining room and kitchen, everything fresh and clean and cared for. Spices and fresh ingredients. Adorable Easter decor blended with the expected Bears and Bulls posters. Italian beef perfectly seasoned on a fresh roll, not too soggy and not too dry, topped with your choice of sweet or spicy peppers. Chicago dog is the classic I expected, not trying anything special that would screw it up, with a crisp half spear pickle. Fries are perfect crinkle cut, with an extra starchy crunch and not greasy.
For anyone comparing and complaining about prices, realize that everyon’e ingredient costs have jumped significantly in the last few years. Yeah it feels ‘crazy’ to spend $5 on a hot dog and $10 on a beef. But the option is to either pay what you were used to and accept a cut in size, quality of the ingredients and prep details, or pay up for quality food. Everyone’s just passing on the cost. Go eat a cheaper bland meal somewhere else.
A must stop. I would eat a dog here every day if I could, and just might.

This is my favorite local hot dog spot. Family business that really cares and are so friendly! They also have new daily special food items that are great to try and offer a nice variety to their already great menu. Everything I’ve ordered here has always been good and I love that they recognize their customers. Will continue coming back for years to come!
