We were out early to vote and decided on Billy’s for breakfast. A good choice.

The morning special was French Omellette with a starch side and toast. We both had the same, except my wife had the home fries, and I had hash browns.

Everything came out within a reasonable time. It all tasted very good. Our service was excellent. Prices are reasonable, and the food is good with a wide selection of breakfast items. Steller service! Enjoy!

It took nearly 15 minutes before the server took my order. I was there for lunch and only had an hour. There were 2 women working but only 1 taking orders. Fortunately it didn’t take long to get my food. I planned to take home the leftovers but the server never came back to offer me a box. I left half my meal sitting on the table.

The price of the food has increased dramatically. Apparently the owner hasn’t gotten the memo that the price of eggs has gone down. The cost of 2 eggs and toast — NOTHING ELSE INCLUDED — is almost $7. 1 pancake is $5 and a Belgian waffle is $10. I definitely see why they’re not as busy as they used to be.

Was passing through Tavares on my way back home Sunday and saw a sign saying pancakes and waffles! Immediately pulled a u-turn and headed to Billy’s. Waited about 10 minutes as it was busy with the church crowd right before lunch. Was seated and I had my coffee within about a minute or so and my food in about 5 minutes. The coffee was fresh and hot and warmed me up on a cold Florida late morning. I went with a bacon, ham and sausage with hash browns and toast. The portion was large and tasty! The hash browns were crispy on the outside and softer on the inside as expected! I cleaned my plate and was satisfied with the $17.00 charge! Was a bit loud as it was packed. Highly recommended if you live in Tavares or traveling through this quaint beautiful town!! Florida Man Approved!

Cute, homey interior dated exterior, nice servers, fast service for weekday breakfast. The food was slightly above average. My wife liked her breakfast alot but I felt my home fries were underdone(I had asked for well done) and the pancake was meh.

To me, it’s over priced, I can go down the road eat the same thing and not pay as much. Fixed income people that don’t make much. Under 1k a month struggle. A waffle is expensive. Theres not that much difference than a pancake which it’s basically just cooked differently. And the cost is up there. I would have loved a waffle, but, I had to choose something more cost effective and healthier. Otherwise no complaints from me.

We’re new to Tavares and visited Billy’s Café for breakfast for the first time last week — and now I see why it has such a big following online! My husband and I went for a breakfast date and tried the pancakes, biscuits and gravy, an omelet, and some hash browns. Everything was delicious and definitely something we’d order again.

The portions were generous (we even had plenty to take home), and the prices were great! We’ll definitely be back, and when the grandparents visit our kids, Billy’s Café will be the first place we take them. It’s sure to become a go-to spot for our family of five!

Haven’t been to Billy’s Cafe for over 9 years since moving, and I just went for the first time again today! The environment always makes you feel like you are at home. The food and service have always been amazing. I 10/10 recommend Billy’s to everyone.

The servers’ recommendation was also on point! I was looking for a hot sandwich and she pointed me to the Patty Melt. Amazing!!

I saw spots who stopped for breakfast. The food was pretty much average breakfast food but was good. Service was a bit slow but all in all it was good.

This place is NOT what it used to be. Started out with a warm chocolate milk, so warm I was scared that I would get sick if I did drink it (I did not, I sat it on the corner of the table hoping my server would ask me if I’d like to exchange it. She did not. She was in the bathroom our whole meal!) Go on to the mean itself, I ordered 2 biscuits with sausage gravy. I received 4 poorly baked biscuits, that were so flat and dense that at first glance it did actually look like 2 biscuits split down the middle.. The texture was something indescribable. The gravy itself still tasted like flour with lumps scattered throughout and little to no sausage. My partner ordered the Elenia’s rollups. After the first few bites of her meal she was sad to say that her strawberry’s were complete mush, completely inedible. Will NEVER be returning, the atmosphere is not welcoming and the food was complete TRASH.
