It’s nice to have a local place succeed in West Dennis on 28. We visited on a Friday night and it was a popular place to be. My four year old loved the homemade mac and cheese. The ribs, brisket and pork were are great. We also loved the three BBQ sauces. The food is great but a bit pricey.

Ok barbecue food. Roast briskets seem the best. Portion quiet large.

Really good BBQ! I’ve been waiting for a good BBQ place to be in the area and it has finally arrived! Went over this past weekend with my buddy. They have good beer available and some pretty tasty drinks. My friend wound up getting the pulled chicken sandwich and loved it. I got some pulled pork and it was delicious! I also tried the Mac n cheese, which was incredible, and the cornbread which comes with some crazy good butter! Definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Place was clean wait staff was pleasant. No smell of smoke, maybe when the place gets seasoned. I went to dinner with three other friends. All of us have won awards in BBQ cook-offs. Mine was pulled pork. Food had no flavor and tasted like it had been sitting in a warmer for hours. No smoke ring and dry, food was barely warm.
I found out they use an electric smoker which can account for the lack of smoke ring.
Jay got the brisket and it too had no color or bark and he said it tasted like cardboard.
Steve and Gary got the ribs, they ate a couple of bits and left the rest. Next time you serve ribs try heating them before serving. Start bone side down, when you see bubbling at the end of the bones turn over and heat the meat side, sprinkle with dry rub or sauce them before serving.

We will probably try again to see if they improve. I hope you get better before the season starts. You might try getting a chef who knows how to cook and present a BBQ dish.

We and another couple went to Billygoats for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the food, atmosphere and wait staff. Even the owner came to our table to check on we were doing. Our chicken, pulled pork and brisket were nicely done as were the sides. And having a choice of sauces allowed us to season the meats to our own liking. We will certainly be returning.

My husband and I were lucky to have walked in to Billygoats BBQ!

We were starving and went to a couple other newer restaurants in the area, but after looking at their menus and the prices, we decided to drive around for a few more minutes.

It was great to find delicious, freshly made food at the Cape! We are so tired of the same old options (and not good ones either)! The options for both food and beer were refreshing and reasonably priced. Well worth it!

My husband told the owner, the biscuits and gravy were the best he’s had since Sue Bees restaurant in Maine!”

We will definitely go back and encourage you to go and check it out!

Food was better than average for a Restaurant BBQ place. Mr “No smoke ring” review above would be accurate but there was enough smoke flavor in the ribs to pass for restaurant fare. The brisket was very tender and tasty. The pulled meats lacked enough wood to pass as good BBQ IMO. The option to add your own sauce is definitely a plus. I’m guessing the smoke met these meats somewhere later in the process rather than earlier. Mr no smoke ring should have been able to discern that if he was as good as he claims. lol

Overall its a better than average if your looking for real BBQ and not just baked or grilled meats w sauce poured over. Our waitress was excellent the tater salad was not to our preference and she quickly brought out another side.

Not enough (or any in some cases) seasoning in the entrees we ordered. With those prices, we expected much more. The ribs weren’t even very meaty, and just two dry pieces? The pulled chicken was tender and moist, but it’s literally just plain pulled leg meat – don’t forget to add your own salt. I would say, based on what we had, that Billygoats would be comparable in food quality to Ye Olde Country Kitchen. Even the sauces just don’t hit the mark (Rufus Teague BBQ sauce made it better at home, though). The staff was friendly! There isn’t really anywhere to wait for your food if you are picking up, you’ll kind of end up waiting with their
point-of-sales system or at the bar. A final problem we had with the place was the acoustics. It seemed like the live music, which was quite nice, was struggling to compete with the quite loud static noise of the half-filled restaurant – even with their electrical equipment.

I was looking for an authentic BBQ restaurant on Cape that I could enjoy with my family. So I was excited to find this restaurant, and even better yet it’s reviewed well…after eating here I don’t know how.

I order the sampler for an appetizer, it was cold and terrible tasting. They didn’t offer any sauces to dip anything in, and I had to ask for ketchup. The fried pickles tasted like salt sticks and could not be consumed.

I ordered the half rack of ribs for myself and my seven year old son. I was told they were more sweet then spicy, upon biting into them they tasted like all spice no sweet, also like biting into luke warm carcole. So disappointed in them, they are a childhood favorite of mine that I am trying to share with my son. I have been to many BBQ restaurants in my vacations to south, this tasted nothing like what I was expecting. I ate two bites gave my fiancé a bite to make sure I wasn’t crazy, she agreed the ribs tasted awful and I shouldn’t eat them.

My fiancé ordered the pulled pork sandwich, also a childhood favorite of hers, which came completely cold, fridgerator cold. The sandwich had no sauce on it at all.

When we spoke with our waiter he suggested we speak with the owner seeing we ate only a few bites of our food. The owner offered to heat up my fiancé sandwich in what I am assuming means put in a microwave.

I go out to eat rather often and this is the worst experience I have ever had in my life. I don’t say that lightly, I fully understand how strong it sounds and I mean every word of it.

I still paid for my food believing that is the right thing, the owner charged me 56$ discounted one 17$ meal. All I ate was the four dry hush puppies that came in the sampler.

The food is good, but a bit over priced for what you get. At $12.00, the salads should be bigger, either that or priced more like $8.00. Same goes for the burgers, they are either over priced for what you get, or should be a little bigger. If you want to taste the brisket without getting a full order, have the “burned ends” as a side dish. Delish!
