Was amped to try this place based on word of mouth. It’s a nice place but very smoky, even for a bbq joint. The fried catfish i ordered was good. Fried okra side was very greasy, yes I know its fried, but when it looks wet with oil, it’s a no go for me. Wife had chopped brisket sandwich with onion straws. Onions were just as greasy as the okra, had to take them off the sandwich. Appeared to be old oil but who knows. Service was poor for such a small dining area with very few customers at the time. We had to walk up to the register to ask for a refill on my drink. Did not live up to the hype for me.

Yes, you should eat here. I grabbed carry out on a Wednesday night and they had the food ready in no time, ten minutes max. The catfish is to die for, so is the fried okra and burnt ends. Also, I’d recommend the grilled chicken salad. The prices are so reasonable when compared to places like RibCrib and the food is just better. Very Oklahoma, I love it. Support this business.

Omg. We came here and was NOT disappointed! I got the biggest baked potato with chopped brisket that I’ve EVER seen in my life!! It was super delicious too! We had never been there so they were gracious and let us try the catfish and it was delicious! It’s not traditional batter. It’s like a cornmeal. So it’s not heavy or overpowering! Pretty small inside but super cute decor. We got there right at 11 on a Tuesday and there was a lot of open places for a group of 4 to choose from bathrooms were clean and stocked. We passed it by accident but look for the red paint! We will be back next time we are in town!!

I was in the mood for catfish today and Billy Rays was the right spot to go. This was my first time trying it and I will be returning. The catfish was perfectly cooked crisp and fresh. Nice and tender fillets with the perfect amount of breading. The beans and mac and cheese were good as well. Not to mention, the customer service was top notch. Thanks Billy Rays for fullfilling my catfish craving. See you again soon!

2 peice catfish with fries? No it’s one fillet cut in half. NOT THE SAME THING. Very disappointed since I spent 13$ No seasoning on it. Tartar sauce is like sweet mayonnaise. Didn’t like it. Won’t be back

I eating here several times. In the past I had BBQ which was always excellent but this time was hungry for catfish. It was excellent also. Tulsa has a number of good BBQ joints but Billy Ray’s is one of the best. Good food, friendly service. Hard to beat.

I have been here on several occasions, each time has been very consistent. I really have enjoyed the style of barbecue that they have, although some options are not as great as some places. The slice of brisket was quite tough, all the tasty. The barbecue sauce is very tangy, very rib-worthy!

Haven’t been to Billy Ray’s in a while and was craving some ‘cue so dropped by on a frigid January day.
I ordered the full order Baby Back Ribs dinner with okra and tomato relish. She ordered the Catfish dinner with brown beans & their new mac ‘n cheese.
The ribs were a bit dry, but still had a good bite with a nice peppery flavor. The okra is breaded in house and was great and I always love their tomato relish.
Her catfish dinner came with 4 fillets. They hand bread these fish before frying and they served fresh & hot. This is the best catfish in the Tulsa area.
For a small restaurant they turn out some really great food. Prices are very reasonable and the service is great.

This is a small place out in Broken Arrow. It has the best catfish and hushpuppies and the people are so friendly. Fast hot food served to your table. Had a great dinner and great service. They also serve BBQ.

I don’t know if the booths look that way on purpose… but they were ripped all over the seat, so eating there in a dress is not comfy at all. The salad was good, and the burnt ends were ok but nothing special, I like better the ones that my hubby smokes… also I ordered the whole portion but I thought that was actually a small portion. The ribs weren’t juice but they were tender. My husband liked what he ordered, but he likes all Mexican and BBQ.
I saw a lot of orders to go… but only other couple and us were dining in.
