I had heard great things about Billy & Pete’s Social and was excited to finally try it, especially the Detroit-style pizza. Unfortunately, the food didn’t land for me. The cheese pizza was overloaded with sauce and cheese, which made it soggy, and the pepperoni Detroit pizza didn’t feature cup pepperoni as described and it ended up overly salty with very little sauce. I also ordered a basic martini and it came out tasting more like sweet vermouth than a balanced drink. The $30 salads were nothing more than some lettuce with dressing on the side and a few shrimp on top. No kids menu, just the chicken tender appetizer or the cheese pizza without basil.

Staff was very welcoming and we were seated immediately. Small interior. Excellent service. But…the air conditioning was not sufficient for such a hot day. And considering the place was empty when we arrived, air conditioning should not have been an issue. Plus there were flies. The drinks, and the meatballs, and the spinach and artichoke dip were pretty good, as was the chicken sandwich. The pizzas and the Burrata, however, I did not like too much.

What a great place! A concert in the park across the street made our dining even better. All options, Meat eaters, Gluten free, Vegan, Vegetarian are all available options. You can’t beat the atmosphere, we ate outside comfortably. Delicious pizza; the blistered pepper appetizer is so good, their funky avocado was scrumptious! One of the best dishes I’ve had in a long time. We’re beer drinkers but saw nice looking cocktails being served. We’ll go back if we get a chance, we are visitors to this nice area if New York.

We started our meals with the Orange crush and the Moscow Mule. Both drinks were absolute 10/10s and I’m excited for the next time I can have that orange crush! Then we got the pepperoni cup pizza (half real pep, half vegan pep) and that was BEYOND good with all of the flavors. We got the tipsy grandma pizza as well and that was also full of flavor! Absolutely would recommend trying any of their Detroit style pizzas. We finished off the night with the donut/ice cream combo and it was the perfect ending to our meals. We even had a chance to meet the owner! Everything about Billy & Pete’s is perfect and we will absolutely be returning!

The long version:
I have eaten here several times before and always had a wonderful experience- my family and I love the food, drinks and atmosphere- it’s a really cute place! In the summer, they have a nice outdoor seating area and in the winter they have cute looking igloos to sit in. It is a perfect family spot to go to for lunch/dinner because there is a nice park with a playground right next to the restaurant. And it makes for a romantic date night.
Mainly writing this review to highly recommend everyone to cater/host your private event at their restaurant. I hosted a baby shower there last week and it truly was such a great experience. I looked into several other venues/restaurants, but Billy and Pete’s and their manager, Nina, was the most accommodating, down to earth, and easy to work with. Nina always returned my calls and answered all the questions I had. I like how they work with whichever budget you have and are very understanding and not pushy. I had to make so many changes with my event but Nina was always understanding and patient with me.
For those concerned about dining with the risk of getting Covid, I had several people in my party concerned prior to the event, but they were at ease because the restaurant has an air purifier in the indoor dining area. There are also a lot of windows around, so we were able to crack open the windows for more air flow. And since we expressed our concern about covid, they made sure our server would have her mask on. Our server, Selena, was very attentive throughout the party and made sure our food came out hot when we were ready to eat.
All the guests at the baby shower expressed what a great time they had and loved everything- while everything on the menu tasted good, the favorite dishes were the roasted cauliflower, meatballs, B+P’s classic Detroit pizza and Billy’s Burrata grilled pizza.
Also, the restaurant is conveniently located a 3 min walk away from the metro north station, therefore this made it easily accessible to the many guests from the city/ queens/ brooklyn who could not drive in.
Therefore to sum it up, I was so happy we had our party at Billy+ Pete’s, it is the best, non stressful, affordable, convenient place to have your baby shower, bridal shower, birthday party, holiday party, or any other private event you can think of. And I hope more people will choose it too, because I would love to support this great local business.

Billy & Pete’s Social hosted my fiancés 30th surprise party last week & it was an absolute BLAST. Not only was the space perfect, the staff phenomenal, and food fantastic. The event manager Nina, and her team couldn’t have been more accommodating to work with.
