Bill’s Cafe is one of those classic San Jose diners that always hits the spot. It’s laid-back but bustling, with a welcoming vibe that makes you feel like a regular the second you walk in. There’s a nice counter bar for solo diners, plenty of cozy booth seating, and a large covered patio if you want to enjoy the fresh air.

I ordered the Canadian Bacon Eggs Benedict with a side of French toast, hash browns, and an original mimosa—and everything was perfectly done. The eggs were poached just right, the hollandaise was creamy and rich, and the French toast was soft, buttery, and golden.

It was the perfect Saturday morning breakfast—sitting at the bar, sipping a mimosa, and soaking in the easygoing atmosphere. Great food, great service, and great energy.

Great food, as you would expect from this chain. I most of the time get one of their benedicts. The Hawaiian pancake was very nice. Our server was the best. He was very friendly. Checked on us often. The coffee was nice and strong, and our mugs were continuously refilled. They indoor and a very nice outdoor dining area.

I found this place on whim and across from a parking lot across the street, and I’m glad I did. Staff is very attentive and friendly!! Cozy and they even have a patio area that is pet friendly. This is my 2nd time coming, and kinda excited to work through the menu as i look at the plates they were bringing out. 1st day had a BLT, fries, and it comes with a soup. I didn’t know they closed at 2pm but wasn’t rushed to leave. Came back the next day and had eggs, portuguese sausage, toast and extra crispy hash browns, decently price, and they don’t mess around with portions! The best extra crispy hash browns, perfect sunny side eggs!, in my opinion! I haven’t tried the drinks yet, but i will. Great place!! Again, they close at 2pm Mon.- Fri. and Sat. & Sun. at 3pm. I forgot to ask what time they open.

It’s always good at Bill’s! Janeth took great care of us… Coffee always full and hot, quick, correct orders and friendly service! My veggie skillet was delicious and my breakfast buddy had the baked sweet potato special with carnitas and he loved it!!

I’ve been to several different Bill’s Cafe locations and they all are very consistent! The food is delicious and generous portions. The menu has enough variety that everyone can find something they like, but I always love the country fried steak or the crab cakes benedict.

Service is friendly and efficient, but you may need to ask a few times to get extra condiments or refills, and I personally had to ask for my utensils and to give me the correct order as I was initially given the wrong sides.

Bill’s Cafe is always a reliably high quality breakfast chain with a great selection of breakfast choices. While they tend to have long waits, if you choose the right moment you can get a seat almost immediately.

The place is always clean and professional with great service. You’ll likely find something to eat which you enjoy and you will feel comfortable in well equipped establishment.

My friends and I visit this location since we were in the neighborhood. Rafael was our waiter who gave us excellent service. He greeted us at the door and placed our order which was correct, delicious and hot. He checked to see how our meal was coming along and if we need anything else.

Our 1st time here. Over all very pleasant visit. Pancakes are very fluffy, and fruits toppings are fresh. California benedict was an excellent choice. Lunch special Steak casidia was so so. Steak was a bit chewy. That’s why I gave food 4.5 .
PS. We happened to come across Bill’s gift cards at costco for a discount. Therefore, we are planning another visit again soon.

First time to eat at Bills. The food was good. Portion was nice. Price was ok. Didn’t like the fries, skinny fries is just not my thing.
I got 3 tiny half pieces of bacon on my salad so I had to break the small pieces into a lot more tiny pieces of bacon.
The wait staff was slow to refill the drinks of coffee water and soda.
Overall, we all enjoyed ourselves and we may go back again to try something else on the menu.

one of the better Bill’s Cafes (I’ve tried Cambrian, north san jose, willow glen (the worst), Rose Garden)
spacious indoor and outdoor, spacious parking lot, good selection of food, attentive and accommodating staff, good food, good-sized portions. Salmon Bagel was great.
Cons: salmon benedict on a bagel with fried onions?! Where is the English muffin?!!
The athletes omelette was bland! No taste!
