My husband and I are regulars on Sundays for soul food. This past weekend we were lucky enough to score the oxtails before they sold out. So good! So tender & the rice and gravy is the perfect pairing. Turnip greens and green beans were amazing as always. The best part of Billie Rae’s is the people – Patrice & family truly care about the community they serve. We are proud to support their small business and encourage everyone to try it!!

All I can say is WOW!!! This is some of the best BBQ I have ever eaten. The restaurant is clean, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and it’s well decorated. I had the ribs, brisket, smoked mac & cheese, collard greens, grilled cabbage and the Nutter Butter banana pudding for dessert. I know it’s a ridiculous amount of food but please don’t judge me. The ribs and brisket are perfectly prepared, flavorful, and tender. The fact that they are doing all this on old school stick burner smokers shows the chefs experience and love of cooking. The collards are really good, the grilled cabbage is so delicious. I was really excited to try the mac & cheese but unfortunately it was cold. I am sure if it was warm it would have been delicious as well. They make their BBQ sauce in house and it is phenomenal! They even make and bottle their own kool-aid which is top notch. Last but not least the banana pudding is a great ending to a great meal. This is a must try!!! If you like the franchise places around town than this place will change your entire view of what good BBQ is. This is absolutely next level

I finally made it to Billie Rae’s after weeks of anticipation. I had built it up in my head so much that I was afraid I might be disappointed. I was not! It. Was. Amazing.
This is going to be our new Sunday tradition!! The food was so good, the service was so good – the whole experience was A+.
We had the chicken and dressing & the Big Back meal & the chess banana pudding. We ate every single bite.
It was easily the best meal I’ve had at any Knoxville restaurant. We can’t wait to go back to try the other items!! 1000/10 recommend!!

Not only the BEST BBQ I’ve ever had, and I’ve been all over, but some of the best food I’ve ever had. Absolutely delicious and the portions are huge! The owners are so wonderful as well and you feel instantly at home there. It is a must if you love BBQ or just want something amazing.

Absolutely delicious stop in the Morningside neighborhood of Knoxville. I ordered the pork rib dinner and was STUNNED by the sticky, juicy, slow smoked ribs. I think their house BBQ sauce is the best sauce I’ve ever tasted – so good I didnt even try the others at the table. A must stop for BBQ in Knoxville!

Food was GREAT!! Turkey ribs were so good. You can even get them fried. Smoked outside. Juicy meat. Wonderful hospitality. Owners wife suggestions were great. Cole slaw was the best I’ve ever had. Don’t pass this up.

I finally made it in to experience Billie Rae’s and it was everything I was hoping for! First, Ms Chandler greeted me with a smile and a warm welcome. When I said it was my first time in, she quickly recommended the brisket sandwich. I opted for the smoked potato salad as my side. Because I got my food “to go,” I asked if it was safe to drive home, for fear I would crash my car trying to break into the bag of deliciousness. When I got home safely, I opened the box of love to find some of the most delectable brisket that was a perfect mix of moist and lean. The smoked potato salad was on-point! I only look forward to my next visit when I try the smoked turkey rib!!! Yep! I overheard Ms Chandler tell two other gentlemen it would change their lives. I’m sold!!!

I was traveling through Knoxville and wanted to try some bbq. Usually it is a hit or miss adventure when your looking for good food. I truly can’t say anything but great things about this place. The people were so nice. I tried the brisket,ribs and turkey ribs that I had never heard of. It was all amazing. Im a bbq conisure and this was the best bbq I have had so far. The turkey ribs smoked or fried must be tried. Thank you for sharing your BBQ!
