We heard this little place had good viet food. We got the bun rieu and egg banh mi and were not disappointed!! Bun rieu was very flavorful. Banh mi bread was crisp and fresh and delicious! Very unassuming place from the outside. Seems like a fun place to hangout and play pool as well! I love finding places in seattle like this where viet is spoken more than english!

I come here somewhat regularly and have tried a few different dishes, every single one has been delicious. My favorite dish is the lemongrass chicken with rice. The spring rolls are another favorite. Service is consistently good and the staff are attentive without being overbearing. Always a great experience and I’ll definitely keep coming back.

Always a solid spot to stop in for a meal. You can’t go wrong with the pho, salad rolls, or banh mi—everything is fresh, flavorful, and consistently good. The service is always personable and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. A reliable go-to for delicious Vietnamese food.

Billiard Hoang is a rare spot in Seattle where the quality and quantity of the meal was well worth the reasonable price. The space inside won’t win any awards, but it was casual, relaxed and had pool tables if you want to play. The menu isn’t the largest I’ve seen in the city for Pho, etc but it had more than enough to satisfy most people. The food we received was absolutely delicious – among the best Vietnamese fare I’ve had in the Seattle area. Absolutely will be back!

Love it here! Great neighborhood spot. Service is quick, everyone is really friendly, great casual vibe. The food is good value for the price and they have the best wings I’ve had in Seattle (fish sauce wings specifically).
We have liked everything we have tried on the menu

Our favorite spot in the neighborhood! So many delicious items here… outside of the pho, some of my favorites: short rib bahn mi, fish sauce wings, five spice chicken and the reasonably priced beer buckets. Staff is great – very attentive and kind.

Bo Luc Lac aka Shaking Beef here is amazing. It’s my favorite dish. I usually ask for it in a bowl, then mix it all together. So I get all the flavors and juices on the rice evenly. Then the extra sauce they give, I pour it on gradually as I eat.

Short ribs dish is very good also. And I hear the Pho is good as well. But I’m not a big soup person. Oh yeah, banh mi here is really good. Order a grilled pork to go for later. You won’t be disappointed. You can also add a egg to it also, which I don’t. They’re banh mi game can compete with some of the local bakery’s, no kidding.

I love coming to Billiard Hoang. All the aunties and uncles that work here are so sweet; certainly the type to remember you and know what you’re going to order. I’m always so appreciative of their friendly service, and they’re so attentive.

I’ve eaten multiple dishes here, but my favorite things are the fish sauce chicken wings (call ahead half an hour in advance to have them ready for when you come in!), Spam & egg banh mi (so perfect, really), spiced roast chicken plate, and of course, their pho. Truly some of the best Vietnamese food I’ve had in general, and I’ve eaten at many a spot and have had home-cooked meals with Vietnamese friends’ families. The chicken wings, in particular, are probably some of, if not, the best I’ve ever had.

And gosh, do I LOVE playing pool here! To be honest, I don’t even know how much it costs per hour, but it doesn’t even matter because they know me and always give me a free hour. It’s so fun!!! It’s like being at your best friend’s house just passing the evening away, eating delicious food, having a beer or two, and playing your favorite game. And the uncles who work there are so funny, sweet, and cheer you on while you’re playing! Just a fun, familial atmosphere that feels comfortable & cozy. I love coming here and can’t imagine any bad words about this place. Cảm ơn bạn rất nhiều to everyone that works here! Such a special place in Seattle.

One of my favorite restaurants in town, and I make a point to stop by every time I come to Seattle. I highly recommend the pho tái and the fish sauce wings (they take a little longer because they’re made fresh and the wait is 100% worth it).

My first review of this place from 6 months ago dissappeared so this is a report of 2 experiences from this year.

This place is the definition of a hole in a wall. It’s comical when you see a picture of the exterior and all the pictures and reviews of their amazing food. You tell yourself you must brave the traffic and try the food here.
Their wings are amazing. Sticky sweetened fish sauce marinate, deep fried to crispy perfection. We tried the regular wings during our first visit, and fish sauce wings won hands down.
I ordered pho the first visit, and found the broth too salty while the meat was nothing special. Hubby ordered the lemongrass chicken, and it was spectacular! He will no longer eat lemongrass chicken anywhere else. In our most recent visit i ordered the grilled pork plate with eggs. That was my favorite by far. Tender meat, flavorful marinate, and the slightly charred caramelization made it a perfect dish.

Staff is very friendly, but sometimes it can be tough to flag them down if you need something.

The pool hall vibe is also kind of fun.

This is a hidden gem. Don’t miss out.
