I usually love Biggby. However my friends and I all got bragels at this location, and none of ours were toasted, and the cheese was not melted. In addition to that, there was a paper from the cheese in my sandwich. I also asked for cream cheese on both sides (and got charged for it) and only got it on one side :/

The woman making coffee today on 3/1/26 around 12pm with glasses, an orange shirt, braids and an apron had a very nasty disposition which yielded the low stars regarding service. The woman that took my order I wanna say she had on a white shirt did a great job even though I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted. Attitudes towards customers are very important in business.

Today was my 1st time visiting this location and I will not return the ladies are rude and come off genuinely unhappy. The older African American lady with locs who made my coffee was rude as well as the younger African American lady that made my sandwich, (also had locs probably related which explains their very similar attitudes) she slid my food across the counter at me and just walked away. They both acted bothered by me asking for extra cream cheese which I paid for when I ordered. I told the older 1 I paid for it she asked the other lady if I actually paid for extra as if I would lie about something like that. Then said it was extra on the sandwich which was a lie.and charged me again to give me a small little cup of cream cheese. any other boggy I’ve ever visited had friendly baristas working there acting happy to have a job. It was certainly not a pleasure being serviced by nasty women bright and early while simply trying to get breakfast and coffee on the way to work.

Have never been to a Biggby Coffee before today. We are in town from San Antonio. We just wanted coffee after dinner in Berkley. Not sure about other comments regarding minorities being treated poorly, but my wife and daughter are mixed race and I’m white. None of us were treated very well by the black woman behind the counter but I’m not prepared to jump to the conclusion that race played a part in that. The black gentleman was nice and thanked us on our way out but my daughter was bothered by the woman’s attitude. As for the store, it’s a nothing special coffee shop with a weird vibe and the products have the feel of a bigish corporation. Coffee isn’t great, the food appears to be packaged which adds to that not-so-great vibe. The owner doesn’t respond to reviews and that tells me a lot about him, and the business reflects that attitude.

Great place to get some coffee or non caffeinated drinks! Spacious interior. Lots of seatings. Service is quick and friendly. Our chai latte was great and extra hot as ordered. Overall nice experience and will be coming back to this location with a pleasure

I’ve been coming to this biggby for over a year. I hadn’t been inside and sat for about 5 months. I ordered coffee and proceeded to work and I got strange looka from everyone sitting. I felt like I was in a horror movie and I was going to disappear if I didn’t leave soon. The atmosphere has definitely changed. I’m a minority woman and that Biggby is no longer a safe place for minority women.

They used to be very consistent but now it’s hit or miss if the latte will taste correct. I got a pumpkin spice latte yesterday and it was perfect. I got one this morning and it tastes off. I prefer the Ferndale location.

My best friend and I went into this Biggby today. Usually, everyone is kind and nice. The owner, or manager (pretty sure it is the owner) stared my friend down and myself. We are both minorities. He told her if you do not get something you have to leave. She was just waiting for me to come and trying to decide what she wanted while she sat down. The owner was rude and not a minority. The cashier and barista were lovely. The owner was rude, racist and went outside to smoke in front of the business. I am allergic to smoke. I am glad I was not out there when he was smoking in the front of his establishment. There were other non minorities there that were sitting and had not purchased items and they were not spoken to so rudely. I will never come back here again. It is sad because the other staff members were great, but the owner is a biased person. I will ensure to let others know about this location and the business down the street that has many patrons that enjoy coffee, whom I know the owner of. Stop being biased based on race, age and clothing. My friend and I paid for our drinks and really should never have patronized your establishment. I will involve corporate with this issue and file a formal complaint about the owner. I can see from the other reviews other people have had issues with this place as well. It is 2025 educate yourself and stop being crude, biased, rude and racist, which we are supposed to learn as children. I will never recommend your place again. Thank you to the other workers maybe new ownership is needed to get better reviews and kindness, which I will be recommending to corporate. Biggby’s mission does not include being biased.
