This place is the real deal. Amazing service and food! We had the mozzarella sticks, a thin crust white pizza and a Katy dough “meat lovers” style and a Chicago dog. All were awesome. Fav was the dog and the white pizza. They also have a great beer selection and local whiskey as well. Can’t wait to go back!

I’m originally from Chicago (Logan Square) and I can finally say I had a good pizza in Texas. We ordered a deep dish pizza and an Italian beef. Our friends ordered a thin crust pizza. I felt that I was having a pizza from back home. All three things tasted great. I’ll definitely be coming back. I’ll need to try their gyros. If you’re from Chicago and miss eating a good pizza, please visit Big Z’s. Not only the food was amazing, it has a good ambiance as well. We drove from Spring to Katy just for the pizza and I’ll be going back soon.

I found it! I found my Chicago style deep dish in the Houston area after 2 years of searching ever since leaving Chicago, the one thing that has been a real struggle to find is GOOD pizza. So glad I stumbled across this place and decided to make the drive from Spring to their location. Would definitely recommend and will absolutely go again!! The absolute only thing I’d make note of is that I feel like my guest and I were forgotten about a few times. Had to ask a couple times to get a new drink, “hey man, I think you forgot about my drink”. Then, since I was driving I limited my alcohol consumption and when he asked if I wanted another I said No, and he just took my glass and didn’t even offer me anything else like water or anything haha. So I was without a drink for a good portion of my dinner. Either way, still gets 5 stars because the pizza was awesome, the atmosphere was great and even though there were a few small hiccups, it is what it is. Will be back and would recommend

Great diamond of a find. Their Godfather pan pizza (crust was great ) was awesome and the smoked wings were truly smoked goodness. Will be adding to our routine now for sports, pizza, and wings, as well as go after the beef sandwich and their 1/4 lb hotdog when he gets it back in. Great supporter of local brews on tap as well as an overall great owner / operator. Thank you Bob (Big Z) for a great experience!! Tip – bar has usb and reg plugs for phone charging as well as purse hooks.

Second time here. We have been looking for a good deep dish Chicago style pizza.
This place makes a great deep dish with lots of options. They have good tea and a friendly staff.
Our only compliant is it has been warm in there both times. They have a swamp cooler which helps until you aren’t in front of it.
That said…we love the food and enjoy the staff.

Very friendly and attentive staff and the food was delicious! Met my bff and her husband there. We split a pizza bread, beef totchos and a deep dish pizza. Her husband and I also each ordered a chicago dog. You can tell the sauce on the pizza bread and deep dish was homemade and it was excellent. Can’t wait to take the rest of my family to try it.

Me and my dad came here on 4th of July and had too much fun, we stayed for 12 hours. Italian beef sandwich was made the RIGHT way with the juiced up bread! This is the only true Chicago bar in the Houston area.
Owner also had a great craft beer selection on tap! Small tap wall but just as much variety as WOB, crafted, flying saucer, ETC.

This place is very nice the food is as spot on as your going to find as close to CHICAGO STYLE DEEP DISH PIE! The Italian sausage sandwich was delicious and spot on. If you order a deep dish pie, call ahead and order it because if you order it when you get there it’s going to take at least an hour before it comes out. You never rush deep dish pizza, never. All their ingredients are shipped in from Chicago but their bread. Their bread is made locally I wish I knew where from because it’s the best French bread anywhere, I bet they get their hot dog buns from the same place. Enjoy!!! So it’s been awhile since I visited this place and just about a week ago I went back. I ordered their Italian sandwich and it wasn’t the same it was a real let down. They changed their bread and the sausage was very over cooked. Seems they got comfortable in their food leaving the kitchen that’s to bad.

I had high hopes for this place and was wanting so bad for this place to be the little taste of home (Chicago) that I’ve been missing. I gave this place a try twice, once for the Italian beef, Chicago hot dog and maxwell polish. My hotdog was so chewy that it was hard to even rip off the bite, the polish was also over cooked and chewy. The Italian beef was just mediocre and I wouldn’t order again. Today we tried the deep dish pizza and let me tell you THIS IS NOT DEEP DISH, the flavor was also off and unfortunately my family did not like it one bit and couldn’t even finish a whole slice.. A whole pizza for $25 that ended up in the trash. I really want my money back because that’s just how disappointed I am with this. My stomach is actually hurting from just one bite. The one good thing about this place is the the inside of the restaurant which is really cute and has the Chicago vibe. Do not waste your money or time here looking for an authentic taste because you will 100% be disappointed.

Giving being from Illinois and use to Chicago style pizza this was a happy find! We ordered pizza and an Italian beef(which I didn’t get a pic of) the wings were ordered by our neighbor the same time which he gave is some to try! The food was wonderful and spot on. We called later that evening and spoke to the manager in regards to the food. The staff was also all friendly! We definitely will be back!
