I love the sandwiches but they never have bread past 2! I’m a hungry college student and I always want it after classes, and look forward to a nice sandwich only to get there and it be closed. If you try calling, it’ll just stall out, so I have no idea if they’re open and busy or closed because of bread. Please put an answering machine on your phone and switch it when you decide to close early, cause it’s really infuriating to call, call, call and then decide to check for yourself only find out it actually is closed. I gotta be honest, they’re lucky they’re the only real sandwich place in town, cause I would DEFINITELY be looking elsewhere for somewhere that actually has bread, is open to their listed hours, and has a clear closed answering machine if they really decide to close early.

Always have considered big town hero my favorite sandwich shop with the bread being so soft and yummy. But just went today and they completely changed everything. The bread dosent taste fresh anymore. Only 2 sizes of sandwiches now. And if you order the 12 inch it just comes on two 6inch loafs. Bread is so much harder and the onion bread no longer has onions on top of it. The bread is now hard and tastes soooo much worse.. Just a huge disappointment. Nice job turning yourself into a subway. Yuck.

Online ordering wasn’t a good experience. Waited quite a while after I got there. Order wasn’t completely right. That place used to be very strict on hand washing. Not now. Yes they were busy with a large order but that is no excuse not to wash your hands between register then back to food. I did say something. Their food is delicious which is why I gave it 3 stars. Unfortunately it used to be a 5 star. Hopefully it will again. I will still eat there but I will order inside to make sure they have clean hands. I suggest that if the owner reads this they will have refresher courses with the employees.

I liked how clean the previous owners kept the restaurant. I liked the hours better, too. You really ought to keep the same hours as them. 10 AM – 7 PM Tuesday – Saturday. Most of us folks living in Lebanon and surrounding areas don’t mind the downtown shops closing at 5 PM or 6 PM, but get upset if eating places close earlier. Also, make more breads to not sell out so fast! So, uphold higher cleanliness standards in the kitchen, make more breads in early morning, and longer hours open!

Also, don’t get upset about people going to use your bathroom and not wanting to eat there as well. That’s unprofessional behavior. I read your reply to someone elses review. You are making people turn away from eating there in future do to a spoiled experience in the past. Most people do not make a mess in the bathroom, as its a rare thing! Where I work you have to clean up after people all the time anyways because it gets messy regularly. I work at a fancy place, too. It’s part of your job. If you don’t like it don’t manage in the customer service industry.

The sandwiches were not made as ordered. I ordered a 6″ turkey berry delight, the cranberry was missing in action! Also I ordered a 12″ ham on wheat with bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce and ranch dressing on all of it, tomato on half and the other half was to have black olives and pepperoni added. It came on white bread, no bacon, no lettuce and no dressing. On the the second half no pepperoni but there was peppers. If we had eaten in the store I would have taken them back. What we got was good but I won’t go back!

Bread baked fresh daily! Great sandwich spot, fresh ingredients, family owned, they put out an awesome sandwich. If you haven’t tried them, I highly recommend you do. Quality sandwich, friendly service, clean establishment, well done!

I like the bread they use. It is fresh and doesn’t take like it came from a factory.

Sometimes the customer service can be bad. Last week my wife went in to place an order that they couldn’t seem get right. It appeared that other orders that were picked up at the same had something wrong with them as well.

It is good food though.

I went to big town hero in lebanon with 3 other people, and it was super busy and we where on a bit of a time crunch. We ordered 4 sandwiches and told them that we needed them fast they said no problem. We sat there for 35 min and they started handing out sandwiches to people that ordered after us. They they started being rude when we asked about our sandwiches. We ended up leaving without our sandwiches we had all ready paid for. I am a very regular customer there and the treatment blew me away. I am severely disappointed with them the people that where there today on September 2nd at 1 o’clock today.

It’s great food, but this place seriously demands new management. They’re open until 5, but if you call before 1pm more than half of the time they’re completely out of bread. This happens countless times, and is beyond frustrating. If you run out of bread THAT often, make more. Problem solved.

You’ll even hear employees talking about how they’re excited to run out of bread so that they can go home.
