Stopped by on our way back from Indiana Dunes. Two of us got the highly recommended firecracker burger and one of us got the fried chicken sandwich. The burger was superb. Thinking about it makes me hungry right now, HIGHLY recommend that glorious burger. I didn’t try the chicken sandwich myself but was told it was not very seasoned and overall not impressive so just get the burger. Patio is dog friendly they even brought a water bowl out for my pup. Stopped in a little late on a weekday and grabbed a burger at this local city square diner and pub. I was looking for a “local favorite” type of place with a unique spin on menu items. There are certainly some minor unique ingredients on the burger selections. If you go this route, I might suggest having the sauces on the side so you may choose the desired amounts. Mine was a bit drenched, which is often the way I like it, but not so this round. Service was prompt and friendly, and helped with selecting menu favorites. The atmosphere was pleasant, not loud, and wasn’t very busy at all. Bar side seating presents on one end of the restaurant, and general table seating for 2-4 (or more by adjoining tables) on the other side. The burger was large and filiing, (but a bit too much of a good thing for my preference). Appetizer was so-so and small. This stated, I was so filled that I had to decide which to finish: gusher or appetizer. The burger won. Beverages were great with some unique local options. There may be some outdoor seating available as well when weather permits.

If I could give 6 stars I would. This place is a gem that survived Covid without any change of quality or service. Once a month we go from the office, probably enjoyed most of the sandwich menu. We need to come afterwork to enjoy a beer or 2. LOVE THIS PLACE!

First time eating at Big Time Burgers & Brew. Food was awesome and delicious. Service was excellent and was even willing to take the extra time to go over the menu. Will definitely be going back next time I’m in the area.

Food was phenomenal! I got the Classic Cheese burger with bacon and a side of fries. Delicious. If you need salt you can ask for some. Service was absolutely lovely. Our server, Tristan, was friendly, smiling, and was very conversational. Atmosphere was perfect, not too loud. You can pick your seat from the available tables to which is a massive plus!

The service was great. The restaurant is clean. I had the fajita pita…the tequila aoli was not good. The rest of the pita tasted good, but it was very big and messy which made it hard to eat. The parmesan fries and Cajun fries were amazing. The pop needed more syrup and less carbonation; it tasted watered down. My kids got a burger off the kid’s menu, when asked what to put on their burger they requested mustard, lettuce, and tomato; we were charged $1 for each tomato, $1.25 for each kid to have lettuce, and $0.50 for each mustard…we were not notified this would cost extra and nowhere on the menu did it say these things would cost extra.

Food was fantastic! Waitress was spot on came back to check on us, got drinks without having to chase her down. Cheese curds and the Fried pickles where just as good. Little pricey but the amount of food you get was great. For 3 of us with a appetizer and not including a tip was about 68 bucks. So…take it for what it is. Great food, and service, oh and like to mention the bathroom was clean!!!!. Also like to give a thanks (and I hope they see this), thanks for not blaring the TV or music. A little music is good but the moment I have to start yelling to have a conversation, game over. Region Ale in Schererville, good food and service but the moment they have a band there the music is so dang loud its not longer enjoyable. Keep it up guys!! We will be back!!
